Bought this as a gift and the QR codes to find video instructions brings you to a “site does not exist” page. So unless if you want to spend a bunch of hours doing trial and error crocheting not knowing if you’re doing it right, don’t buy from this company

Although this crochet kit is meant for beginners, it may take awhile to get started based on your experience. If you are just starting to crochet, it may take a long time and several tries to learn everything.The instructions are pretty clear though. Each piece of sushi has its own set of instructions, and there is a booklet explaining all of the terms. There are also videos that show you how to do each step. Once you get started, it is fairly simple to follow along. There is also a good bit of yarn in case you make a mistake. It can be overwhelming, but the videos help a lot.

I recently tried this crochet kit, and while the materials are nice, I found the instructions hard to follow. As a beginner, I struggled to understand some of the steps. I also wish it included a keychain as a fun project; that would have added more value. Overall, it has potential and it’s a fun craft to do

I got this for a granddaughter who wants to follow in her grandmother's footsteps by taking up crochet. Grandma taught her how a few weeks ago and ever since, she has been asking for her own tools and yarn. We thought this would be a great way to start as it not only contains eveything she needs, but also has links to videos to help her get started on her own. I would certainly recommend it to anyone interested in getting started.

I can only judge on how this works for beginner. I gave up, the instructions were too confusing for a beginner. I'll come back to it once I've learned elsewhere.Compared to similar items, the price at time of writing this review is average at $12.99How I rate:5 Stars = Excellent. Surprised me/exceeded my hopes. Not given out often!4 Stars = Very good. Exactly what I hoped for.3 Stars = Satisfactory. If there are problems, they are minor/acceptable.2 Stars = Not good for me. Cons outweigh the pros. Might work for others, be wary.1 Stars = Terrible. Doubt it would work for anyone.

It contains everything needed to make some stuffy sushi, except the scissors. The written instructions aren't too bad if you know how to crochet; I didn't need or try any of the videos.The negatives here are: there's something about the "the project is started for you inside the white yarn", like they did the first round of your first sushi... but when I dug in, I just got yarn. No chain or anything. No biggie, but FYI.Also, I used their hook and am not considered a loose crocheter, but I ran out of white yarn after three sushi. No octopus for me, at least not until I find some similar white "yarn" (it's more like a fabric tube than real yarn, but it's nice for this sort of thing). If you're looking for a gift for a yarn-or-sushi lover, this might be it.
