Hält, was er verspricht. Die automatische Sperre Unterwasser funktioniert wunderbar.Um lange was davon zu haben, sollte man den Schnorchel und die Dichtungen regelmäßig Mit klarem Wasser reinigen.

Comparison between Cressi Supernova Dry, Alpha Ultra Dry, Itaca Ultra Dry and Cressi TaoI want to share my impressions and compare different models of Cressi snorkels: Supernova Dry, Alpha Ultra Dry, Itaca Ultra Dry and Cressi Tao. They have very difference prices for no apparent reason as these snorkels are nearly identical.Let’s start from the top. The top valve of the Supernova is little different when compared to the Alpha and Itaca, but the idea is the same - a small plastic with air inside floats up and a flat silicon piece closes the opening on the top of the tube when you are under the water. The Tao does not have this valve and just has a guard preventing from ways to splash into the tube. Supernova valve is harder to clean as while you can remove the top off the tube, one cannot disassemble it further. The Alpha and Itaca valves are identical. All three snorkel valves are prone to stuck in closed position when surfacing and will require a strong exhalation to open the valve before you can inhale. This can be a problem to some folks. The Alpha and Itaca valves can be disassemble - you can remove the guard and get access to the silicon and top of the tube to clean it.The plastic AND the flexible silicon tube below valve on the top is identical in all four snorkels, the same oval design, same diameter, same length. The mouth piece is identical on all of the snorkels. The blow out valve is exactly the same on all of the snorkels. It is directed further downward on Alpha and more forward on the rest of the tubes. The Supernova and Tao do not have any cover over the valve. The Alpha has little openings that are easily clogged with sand and difficult to clean. The Itaca has large openings with plastic bands on top and is easier to clean. In the summary all of the snorkels are identical (besides model names) with very small changes as described. There no reason in my mind to spend almost twice as much money on Itaca when comparing it to Alpha as they are one and the same. Alpha top valve design is probably better than the Supernova as it can be easily opened and cleaned.

when you dive, nothing gets in this thing. i even did flips and went upside down and it stayed dry as a bone. i prefer this one because it has a smaller mouthpiece. my husband prefers the cressi alpha ultra dry because it has a larger mouthpiece. so it just comes down to mouth fit. however, make sure you thoroughly wash, rinse, and air out to off gas before use. these definitely need to be washed and off-gassed but once you do, they are fine.

I bought 4 of these snorkels for myself and kids.-the blue/black picture doesnt match what came. I thought it would match the red/black version but doesnt its more liquid looking. And doesnt match the blue/black combos of all the other cressi items i have (mask/fins)-the red/black, the red/clear matched perfectly.Update: masks come with silicone on the lens for shipping so they dont scratch. Unless its removed the mask will fog up terribly. I used the tooth paste method (youtube how to helps). Wish Cressi put this info with the masks. Would have saved me frustrations till i lookes up fixes for fogging masks.
