I like it. High end to me. Worth it. All I had before this was a power probe which is a pain to get out just to check voltage or continuity.

I’ve had this multimeter for over a year now. It’s gotten a fair amount of use as a DIYer with my small camper and my astronomy hobby. I’ve built my own 12v astronomy gear power supply with 110v AC and 12v 100ah AGM batter with automatic switching, boost converters and various fused ports. Having a good, accurate multimeter was essential and this one fit the bill perfectly.I really like how well everything packs into the included carrying case. Also having the alligator clips as part of the set is very convenient. Additionally the wiring used in the leads is quite robust and show last a long time. One feature I didn’t think I would use much but I use all the time is the integrated stand. The only negative I can think of is the amount of time before the unit goes into sleep mode/battery save mode, it goes to sleep a little too soon for my tastes. This obviously does not impact the accuracy of the unit or the value for money of this unit, I realize I’m being nit-picky but that’s the only negative I have come across with this unit, if you can even call it a negative.I also have to applaud Crenova’s customer support. It reached out them (after the warranty period of 1 year) as I could not get the unit to measure voltage, AC or DC. They responded back very quickly asking more questions about the problem. As it turns out (I hate to admit it) it was completely user error, I had thr leads incorrectly plugged in. Regardless, customer support was very quick to respond and even refrained at making fun of me for such a rookie mistake.I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to any other DIYer out there.

This multi-meter arrived two days ago. Cost was $21.59 plus tax. Great price! The meter comes in a snazzy black and orange, hard-fabric, zippered case. Installation of the 9-volt battery requires a tiny Phillips screw driver to open the back of the meter. (This procedure was not mentioned in the enclosed instructions which appear to be Amazon-company based.) Once the batt is installed, the meter comes to life. I immediately used it to insert the needle probes into my house power outlet to measure house voltage--124 VAC came up quickly. Turn on some appliance, voltage drops to 121 VAC. Super, it works quickly and accurately. Yesterday, I used the 10-Amp port and the alligator-clip wires (wonderful addition to this product that other meters don't include) to measure the parasitic current drain in my Odyssey. (Car batt has been dying due to unknown current drain.) Meter responded quickly to indicate DC currents of 950 mA for a few seconds, then 500 mA for a few seconds, then 300 mA for minute or two, and then down to 128 mA long term. (Too high a reading for normal automotive current drain.) It did this sequence repeatedly. So, after only two days, this multi-meter is serving me well. I plan to report any future issues should they occur.Second review, after three weeks. Initial review was correct. This multi-meter works perfectly, and having the included alligator-clip leads is a bonus. I highly recommend this meter.

Full disclosure, I ordered this in a fit of pique at my 3 function bottom end multimeter when I wanted to check some wire continuity and realized I couldn't. A couple hours later I told myself I didn't need another tool I'd not use terribly often and I tried to cancel it. Rec'd email stating shipment was already in progress. That was late on a Saturday night, I had it Monday morning. Intended to just return it.... But when I actually opened it, wow. Now this multimeter isn't that much more than I paid for the most basic unit at a hardware store, but it blows my old one out of the water in functionality. It's also auto range which is super useful if you don't know exactly what your range is and I rarely do. It has actual instructions with it, not just a website to go try to find them on. It comes with a set of alligator clamp leads in addition to the probe style leads, the port plugins on all of them have a nice snug little storage cap so no more worries about schmeg getting down into the ports. The terminal probes actually have protective caps, useful if you tend to reach for things blindly, those things hurt under a fingernail. A sturdy little zippered case to keep it all together, with a mesh inner pocket that'll keep those instructions from wandering away. And it actually had a nine volt battery with it, making it truly ready to go out of the box. It's probably more versatile than I'll ever need - but I have zero fear that I will need it to do something it cannot. No WAY I'm returning this, already donated the 3 function to a thrift shop.

Let me start by saying that I am a novice. I bought this meter in order to bias a tube amplifier. The meter is fine. It is solidly built, easy to read, and ergonomically well designed. The instruction manual is a different story. The unit arrives with the battery uninstalled. Neither the owner's manual nor the unit itself provides any clue on how to install the battery. I ultimately decided I need to unscrew the back plate of the unit. I guessed right. Similarly, the instruction manual fails to explain that the leads come with a protective cap on the meter end of the leads. The good news is that the unit is so nicely made that these caps look like an integral part of the lead. The bad news is that the owner has to figure it out on their own. Similarly, I initially could not get a good reading on the meter because the contact probes seemed too short to properly engage the contact points on my amplifier. Only after taking a chance at damaging the leads did I discover that the contact points were almost completely covered by another plastic cap. Again, the fit and finish was so good, it was not at all apparent that this part of the leads could be removed and the owner's manual was again silent. So, this is a great meter if you have a bit of experience and know what to expect. Not so good if you need a little hand holding to get started. Meter -- 5 stars Instructions -- 2 stars.
