Needed these for the front window of our 115-y/o house... We have old-school floor registers/air returns, and they tend to be right under the windows, which is standard for HVAC ducts installed in old houses. But that makes it a little hard to figure out the window treatments... We don't want short curtains, bc we don't have high ceilings and they make the room feel like a hobbit-hole...but we also don't want the curtains right up against those old-school vents (if you know, you know - the older ones are definitely not low-profile)... This double rod has been the PERFECT solution for us.The mountain hardware and rods are sturdy and great quality, and altogether the whole system looks classy but understated, and goes perfectly with the other window-related hardware we have in the room. The matte black strikes a nice balance between classic and modern, and the finials give visual interest without being overly decorative/maximalist, which was essential for us with our patterned vintage curtains. :) Best of all: we can have slightly shorter sheers on the rod closest to the window, and our longer vintage drapes on the 'room-side' rod, keeping all the fabric away from the wall/vent and still giving us all the benefits of full window treatments.Definitely recommend this one, the adjustable length makes it ideal for any space and the it's worth every penny of the price in our opinion!

These were a breeze to set up, and they hold my curtains quite well. They assemble in sections to make it easy to customize them to the length you need based on your window width. And since the sections screw on to one another, the joints are reinforced. This not only makes for a stronger connection, but also allows them to hold a heavier curtain. Love the clean elegant lines of this, and the strength. Definitely will get more of these for other places that I need to hang curtains.

Overall, these curtain rods are okay, but there are a few things to be aware of. The included instruction sheet was completely blank, which wasn’t a huge issue for us, but could be frustrating. We didn’t need a lot of width, but liked the flexibility of the design allowing extra width in case our needs change. However, the telescoping rod lacks threads and simply sits inside the connecting poles. While it hasn’t come apart yet, I’m a bit concerned it might with repeated use when pulling the curtains open and closed. That said, I do love the double-rod feature, allowing us to layer sheers with blackout curtains for better light control.

It was super easy to put up and it’s very sturdy. It comes with several extension bars to fit windows up to 129 inches wide. My window was just under 50 inches and it was easy to put the extension rods together.The curtain rod has 3 brackets so you don’t have to worry about sagging in the middle. The package came with enough screws to get the job done but there’s no extras, so drill a small hole into the wall before putting the screws in so you don’t strip them.
