Image 2 shows the detail of the pinout. Works with a cheap 37 key keyboard that I have and my old but still working Google Nexus 4 phone. These cables come in two flavors, this version and the Korg version. The pinouts on Korg versions are different. There is also a 3rd version to make things really confusing. Best to have all 3 on hand and even converters that now exist.Well made, nothing special Midi cable for your needs.I believe this is a TRS-B version.

When I came across this item, the listing seemed confused, because MIDI doesn't just turn into audio or vice versa, so that couldn't be what the cable is for. I thought it would either be a MIDI Type A cable or a MIDI Type B cable, and I would do a public service by figuring out which one it was. As it turns out, it is neither. I tried it with all of my devices, both in and out, and it failed to transmit any MIDI signals. I then looked at the listing, which listed which pins are connected, then compared it to the specs for both types of TRS MIDI connections, and this one apparently is wired to one of the pins that is not used in MIDI, so it will not work for any configuration of MIDI as is. If you are savvy, maybe you can rewire it to work, but as sold, this is a perfectly useless trap of an item. Go for something more reputable.
