I've been 3d printing with resin for about 3 years now. Ive owned two anycubic machines, and one failed Sunlu machine. My experience with the halot mage (regular) has been as close to perfect as I could ask for.SetupThe setup for this printer was super easy. Just your typical bolt style build plate and leveling paper. I prefer to use the vat method for leveling and once I leveled it I haven't had to relevel it again. (about two months now). The box contains everything you need to get started, and an extra FEP which is pretty sweet. My only suggestion is you should update the firmware before running the machine for the first time. The firmware adjusts motor speed for the build plate and out of the box the build plate moves WAAAY too fast out of the vat when a print is done, causing a splashing mess. Other than that everything set up easy and fast.DesignI absolutely love the flip up lid on the Mage. It's an absolute game changer. I've managed to actually keep it resin free and looking brand spanking new months after purchase. The build plate is perfect, no concave or convex to it. A single twist bolt holds the build plate to the armature. This also comes with a filter built in a a flexible house to divert fumes from the machine. Overall this machine is built as solid as I could ask for.Print QualityI've been using water washable resin from day one through the Mage and out of probably 50 or 60 prints I've only ever had two partial failures, with one being my fault (forgot to tighten down vat bolts). I've been slicing the files to 30um and then printing with anti aliasing and the orints have been coming out crisp as hell. This printer is an absolute workhorse and has been a delight to use. Coming from being dedicated to another brand and giving creality a try I have been extremely pleased. I've attached a couple photos of prints I've done.ValueI don't think you're going to find any better value than the Halot Mage (reg). I managed to snag mine on sale with a free bottle of resin. $229 for an 8k 10.3 inch build plate printer is unheard of. And in my opinion it feels like an absolute steal. In my opinion the Mage is the best bang for your buck if you're just entering resin printing or looking for an affordable option to print minis.

Ich habe schon ein wenig Erfahrung im Resinbereich und möchte sagen das dieser Drucker der mit Abstand am besten verarbeitete und durchdachte teil auf dem Markt ist. Kein Vergleich mit anderen Herstellern wo die Deckel herumwackeln oder die Displays nicht zu lesen sind. Dies hat aber auch seinen Preis . Diesen ist der Drucker aber definitiv wert. Wenn man weis was man tut liefert es Super Ergebnisse.

After using FDM printers for several years, I decided that it was time to give resin printing a try. The decision to purchase the Halot Mage 8K was based on several factors: print volume, price, Creality's reputation, and most importantly, the included carbon filter and exhaust tubing.Compared to my FDM printers, setup was a matter of opening the box, unpacking all the styrofoam, sitting it down on a level surface and plugging it in. My first print was done less than an hour from the start. The attached photo is of the Ameralabs Town. For reference, the squares on the grid are approximately 5mm (1/5 of an inch for my fellow Americans). This thing is tiny and the details are amazing! I will note that the dark spots you see are actually almost invisible to the naked eye. I'm not really sure what caused them. I suspect it was dust getting into the printer when I had it opened.At this point, I'm really impressed with this printer and what it can do.That being said, you should be aware that resin printing does have some drawbacks. This is true of all resin printers, not just this one. Working with the resin can be challenging and you should always keep your safety in mind. I am using Creality's Fast Resin for my prints and the odor, while not too strong, is certainly not something you would want to breath in. With the lid closed and the exhaust fan on and the hose routed through a window, I could not detect any odor at all. It's when you have to open the printer cover to remove, wash and cure the print that you should be very careful. Also, the overall cleanup process of the print and the printer vat can be very messy. Thankfully, several years of working in a chemistry lab left me with some skills in handling toxic chemicals.In summary, this is a great printer, especially for the price. If you want to get into resin printing, you can't go wrong with this one.

Après 1 mois d'utilisation , je peux faire un resumé assez precis de la machine. Globalement en utilisant Leechy , elle fonctionne parfaitement, les impression sont belle et les support s'emlève facilement.Que dire du prix : 319 euro , c'est un exelent. Pour ce prix on a un grand volume d'impression.Les avantages :-le prix : pour le volume c'est juste le meilleur du moment.-le details des impressions en 8k-son volume d'impression-le CABOT a CHARNIERE, c'est juste une incroyable que personne d'autre en fait !-filtre a charbon-le bac qui a 1L de resine.les moins :-le bruit : ce n'est pas fort mais assez bruyant pour géner si on a pas de puièce dédié ( moi j'ai un atelier , donc je ne suis pas impacté)- l'interface "simple" , pas de wifi, pas de mémoire, clef USB a laisser obligatoirement sur la machine.Je savais avant d'acheter pour le bruit et l'interface, et je vraiment satisfait de cette machine. Je la recommande sans hésiter !

I'm a seasoned FDM printer but new to resins. Having used Creality FDM printers and found them to be good for home use, I decided to try their resin offerings.I am not sorry I did this as the Halot 1 is a a very good choice.The machine has a small footprint and is very easy to use. Setup is simple and connecting veto WIFI an obsolute doddle.The touch screen is clear and easy to use. Everything is laid out well and the icons are clear and easy to understand. Sliced models are loaded via a memory stick or WiFi, I find the memory stick simple and convenient. Printing is relatively fast and yhe quality of detail is very good.I have used Elegoo water washable resin and with this the smell is certainly there but not too bad. With no other resin experience I do not know if the built in sir filter makes a difference or not.You will need to purchase resin as none us supplied and some plastic scrapers are recommended as the metal one supplied with the machine is too sharp for the plastic base and could easily damage it.All in all I have found this printer to be an excellent choice and recommend it to anyone, beginner or experienced.
