The chalk was ALL broken up. Two of the boxes were open and the chalk was all messed up.

I love these chalks and have been using them for many years. I was excited to buy in bulk. As other reviewers noted, they arrived in a broken mess. If you like your art supplies near and organized this is not the set for you.

This is my second time getting this set, the first being three to four years prior. I’m not sure what the fuss has been about them being broken, because aside from a couple, mine were in tact. The colors are super vibrant, and perfect for our chalk calendar wall. I do calligraphy as a hobby, and love to create works of art on ours. These colors really popped for the month of June, during which our oldest son had a Harry Potter themed birthday BBQ. It was easy to work with, blended well, and wrote vibrantly and smoothly for me! No other brand I’d choose, but Crayola!
