We got these to have on hand for the occasional ice storms we get. Last year the ice was so bad people couldn't even get out of their house for days because everything was covered in solid ice so even walking wasn't an option. Luckily, this year we didn't get anything like that, so I actually haven't had the opportunity to put them through their paces. However, I will say that they fit well and are easy to put on and take off. They're heavy duty enough to feel substantial but they don't add so much weight that they make it harder to move around. They seem like they'll be very effective for ice in the future and I'm glad to have them as part of our winter gear.

I’m very impressed with these crampons/ice cleats. I have used a number of inexpensive crampons that wouldn’t stay on, had spikes that fell off during use, or simply didn’t work at all. These ones stay on and actually WORK, even though I accidentally ordered size large instead of medium! Because they are a bit too large for my rubber barn boots (women’s size 8), they hang loosely when I pick my feet up, but surprisingly, they still give adequate traction in mud and slush and even on the layers of ice in my yard from snow that partially melted and re-froze multiple times. I was pretty disgusted when I fell on my butt multiple times with my old crampons, but as soon as I put these ones on, no more ice skating.I will be buying these in size medium because they’re worth paying actual money for, then I can give these large ones to my brother when my six-month Vine commitment is up. Until then, I will continue using them because they WORK. (They won’t wear out before then, because they’re built to last.) I will also be posting about these on social media because they really are that good.Edit: The size large fit fine on my big, bulky barnyard boots (men’s size 6). They’re definitely keepers!

I live in the midwest, where you get ice storms that completely coat everything around them in a thick layer of ice. When I saw this, I knew it would be a great product to have at the ready for our cold icy winters. These fit very well over my boots and provide an extra layer of traction when you are drudging through the ice. Personally, I like to walk a lot, so these are an essential item to own for the winters. They have a great ability to keep you from slipping around, but they are not too cumbersome and do not make walking weird or uncomfortable. They fit over any boot that is within the listed size range as well so you don't need to worry about fit. They also come with a nice storage bag which I keep mine in by the door incase I need to throw them on. I highly recommend this product!

I don't know about everyone else but this holiday season but at least 3 family members on either side of mine and my husbands family has fallen this winter season and has had some serious medical issue due to the ice and snow. It has been rough, backs, knees, hips, our families have done it all. We live on a farm and our drive lane is very slick and rarely gets plowed, we also have outside animals we have to feed and water so we do have to face the winter aspects everyday. Because I did not want to participate in my families fall Olympics, I got these boot grips to help me on the ice.I got size medium and I wear a womens size 8 boot, these straps slide over easily enough and stay on the whole time. I would not recommend wearing these inside on tile or wooden floors so be aware on where you wear them. These seriously have been a life saver for me, I can tell exactly where I would have fallen if I did not have these boot grips. I am going to make this a Christmas gift for all my family members before the next winter season so we do not have any repeats. Would highly recommend to anyone afraid of falling or wish to help prevent the possibility of falling.
