I really want to give this five stars, but when if showed up, the case wasnt sealed and it was missing some parts. Normally the part would’ve fell into the shipping bubble wrap envelope but the envelop was torn so I guess I’m just out the one bit. this is NO FAULT to the product or the seller. It just is what it is. Aside from that, everything works great and I thought the price was fair. The shipping was also super fast

This counter sink system has several different sizes pilot drill bits and a depth stop. The death stop is protected by a plastic ring which they included one extra ring in case of breakage. There are also extra set screws and all of the tools fit in the case nicely. Perfect for occasional use of the hobbyist and DIY weekend warrior.

Great to have these in my shop. These countersink bits are very nice. They allow you to adjust the amount of countersink as well as the length of the pilot hole. The plastic rim at the bottom does a very good job of protecting your wood surface from getting marks on it as long as you do not drill too aggressively. I used this all weekend to make shelves, and the bit worked consistently. This is the second kit I ordered like this so now I have one set up for # 8 screws and one set up for # 6 screws. I had one from Amana that cost twice as much but only had one screw size. I "lost" that on a job and could not justify buying another one.This kit comes in a very nice clear plastic case with a slide lock. All the pieces have their own slots so they stay put during transport. Also included are the hex /Allen wrenches for tool adjustments. One thing that I noticed is that unlike the Amana countersink bit this one tends to get clogged with debris and needs to be cleared out every now and then. A small price to pay for consistent level countersinks.I probably drilled over 100 holes this weekend and it never came out of adjustment. It is still going strong, and I can definitely recommend this kit.....

I have several countersink drill bits, but what I liked about this set was that you can set a precise drill stop due to the measurements on the shank and that you have a low-friction stop that spins independently of the bit, so you don't damage your wood when you get to the proper depth.After getting this, I am pleased about the set. On the positive side, the bits, stop, and case are all nice and I like that the slots for the bits are all size marked. It also includes two spare lock screws in case you lose one of the already-installed ones.That said, I do have one watch out. There is a lot of play in the depth stop, and you slide it up and down. Once you tighten the screw to lock it in place, you should double-check the measurement. The play isn't enormous, so it is a non-event for most uses, but it was a bit surprising. Once locked, I found it stayed in place with no problem.That said, this is a good value given the features, flexibility, good quality, and case.

When I opened the box, I was a bit skeptical about how well this set would work. A couple of things struck me as concern areas. First, the depth stop is a simple Teflon ring that fits loosely on the stop body as opposed to a having a bearing guided stop. Second, was the fact that the different size bits did not individually have a set screw for securing the countersink to the bit. This means that you would need to remove the set screw from one bit and move it to the next when changing sizes. This is a big turn off to me as that makes changing sizes a hassle (but can easily be rectified by providing my own set screws - note: the kit did provide two spares loose in a bag). Maybe that was some sort of production error since I cannot imagine leaving out 4 small set screws would provide a worthwhile cost savings.I chucked the bit into my drill, prepared to be disappointed, but was very pleasantly surprised by how well the bit actually worked. It effortlessly drilled a pilot hole, left a clean countersink, and the depth stop did no mar the surface of the soft pine board I tested it on. Setting the depth stop is a bit finicky, but I have found that to be true of all countersink bits with a depth stop and consider that to be somewhat the universal nature of this style bit (note that this bit does include marking to help set the depth, but they are a bit difficult to accurately read). Overall, I give this set 4 stars (and it would have gotten 5 if they had included a set screw for each countersink/bit assembly).

There’s precious little to dislike here, but much to like. I could perhaps say something negative about the case it comes in, but I’ll refrain, first, because it’s so minor it’s not worth noting, and, second, b/c the tool is crafted so well, it’s still not worth noting. lol The 5 countersink drill bits are made especially well, and they perform very well to boot. And I appreciate how both the pilot drill and counterbore depth are easily adjustable. I also very much appreciate that they have included 2 extra set screws! They are one of the easiest things to lose track of, so know at all times where those 2 extras are—or else this set will become not useless but a lot less useful (you just wouldn’t be able to use the counterbore). Last, those 5 sizes of countersink drill bits should meet 99 percent of your countersink needs, making this set truly a complete set.

I bought the Countersink Drill Bit Set because I enjoy working with wood. The drill bits come in various sizes. I recommend them to anyone who likes woodworking. They are worth it for the price and quality.
