Update: less hot than down, but still a bit too warm for me unfortunately.I really appreciate that I found at least one seller who has an "all cotton" duvet. I tried a down one and it was wayyy too hot. This feels way more dense and non fluffy than the down, but after being under it for a bit I'm not hot. I won't know until I'm asleep, so I'll update with that info if I end up having to return it. Usually I sleep with a quilt and sheet, and a cotton blanket underneath. I have a connective tissue disorder so I have trouble regulating my temp. This fit in my new cotton duvet which I tried sleeping under by itself already so I know that's not what made me hot with the down. I do miss how light, fluffy, and luxurious the down felt. This feels like the weight of a damp blanket or something lol.I do not know why some people thought there was a plastic sounding sheet inside... I tried to crinkle the duvet to see if I could replicate anything like that and it didn't happen. For now... Minus one star for feeling soggy-weight but I might give it back if I don't sweat lol

For 2 years, I have purchased about 5 sets of bedding due to my development of night sweats that is exacerbated by a medicine that I recently started taking. I learned that I needed something "100% cotton" per other people with the same problem. OHHHH this comforter is the resolution I have been waiting for!!! It has that luxurious "crinkliness" of a crisp down comforter, and I would honestly not really call it lightweight. It's a little heavy, but breathable so the heaviness is more along the lines of a weighted blanket. LOVE THIS COMFORTER! Held up in the wash, and leaving this review after night 1, because it's just that great!

Bought for my son with severe eczema. Overall very comfy but colour is not as described. Purchased grey but comforter looks taupe or light brown.

I liked it that it balanced the temperature, however, the shell was not soft and made noises and also dry clean is recommended

I love this comforter! It's cozy, soft, and lightweight, but warm. I bought the bedskirt and pillow shams to complete the set. I'm a "purple fanatic" and I am very picky about shades of purple. If you are wondering if this comforter is a true purple, I can tell you that it is, indeed, a rich purple color. Not a burgundy/purple, but a beautiful blue/purple with not a hint of redness. I have returned (or given away - I hate to return things!) at least three or four supposedly purple bedspreads or comforters because, although the item looks purple in the picture, they all were a red or maroon purple. This one is PURPLE! One caution I would add... Even though the tag says it can be machine washed and dried, it does state that it is better to dry clean. I machine washed and dried the first one. It shrank some and wrinkled. I bought two more and will use the first one for everyday (two dogs!) and will use a new one for when we have company. (Ha!) I will definitely dry clean the new ones. But other than that, I love love love this comforter!

Very warm! It seemed kind of loud and crinkly when I first opened it, but that toned down after I washed it. With a couple more washes it will be perfect. I'm using it with a duvet cover but it's definitely soft enough to be used on its own. It's super thick and seems really sturdy and well-made. Completely 100% cotton means no petrochemicals and no allergies, yay! This will keep me warm and toasty on Northwest nights.

I read on another website that someone had purchased this product and complained it was "crunchy sounding". It is a little noisy. I have a down comforter in our guest room that does the same kind of noise.It is warm. I do not get as hot as I do with synthetic fiber filled comforters. I got this at a real good price so actually I guess I don't have any complaints. I think I would have been dissatisfied if I had paid a higher price. Glad I bought it through Amazon.

I can't believe how great it feels. I washed it at cold, delicate setting on a big front loading washing machine. I dried it for 2 hours on low heat setting. Every 15 minutes or so I took it out and moved it around so it dries evenly. it came out as it was like new. no shifting on the cotton padding at all. the feeling at night is amazing. there is not one bit of sweating while under this comforter. I bought the cotton loft mattress pad as well and did the same treatment. now I am between full cotton paradise. I just ordered the cotton filled pillow as well. I can't believe a full natural Cotton filled comforter is same or less price than a polyester fiber filled ones. what a Value.I also ordered a Silk filled one for $90 here on amazon and a goose down one for $150 from Macy's. I kept the Cotton loft comforter. I loved the feeling of the cotton. Also this one can be washed as the other two clearly said to dry clean only. off to bed!
