Prefacing that I'm attempting to get a replacement, but I wanted to review as a warning before anyone buys.I got this today, opened it immediately, and noticed that the package was pretty noticeably ragged and taped closed with cello tape that had pet hairs caught in the adhesive. I was immediately confused; I didn't expect something refurbished, but I thought maybe it was checked for all its parts. Inside, though, my concerns were raised further when the bag with the wires and trigger buttons had animal bite holes, the power supply was missing its screw to secure batteries in place, and inside the power supply there was dust, pet hair, and already corroding batteries.I didn't want to risk some sort of damage that I would be liable for, given its condition and having no way to confirm if parts were working safely, so I repackaged it all together without trying the product. If I get a replacement, I will update my review according to the replacement's condition.

The 3 AAA batteries work but don't provide enough power for much volume. Replaced with 5V USB rechargeable battery and volume is fantastic. Highly recommend this product. Used on Home Depot Darth Vader and another for Stormtrooper.

I was expecting something louder considering that it's advertised for cosplay. You wouldn't hear this over a crowd's murmur. It is easy to use though

This module works very well for our intended use with a prop radio. It has 4 push buttons that will trigger individual recordings. You simply connect it to your computer via USB-C cable, and it will appear as an external drive. Just copy/paste your files as needed. It also has connections for 4 LEDs and 4 switches to control them. Note that this module is limited to 8MB total. So the total size of your 4 recordings in MP3 format cannot exceed 8MB! I wasn't aware of this, but thanks to the great compression ratio of MP3, it's not a factor for me. Also note that this is powered by 3 AAA Batteries! I'm very happy with this module and will definitely buy more when I need them.

We had an issue where our laptops weren’t picking up the chip was connected. Almost sent it back but it started working with a third usb C cable. The others were shorter ones for headphones and cameras. They should work the same- no idea why it made a difference but a long usb C like you might use for a phone worked. Now it works exactly as indicated.

Ich bin absolut begeistert von dem COSVOX Cosplay Soundeffekte Modul!Was mir besonders gut gefällt: Der Sound ist kristallklar und schön laut, genau das, was ich für mein Cosplay gesucht habe. Die Audioqualität hat mich positiv überrascht, da die Effekte und Stimmlinien wirklich lebendig und eindrucksvoll rüberkommen. Auch die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, alles wirkt robust und gut durchdacht – perfekt für längeren Einsatz auf Conventions oder Events.Negatives? Für mich gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Make sure you have a cable that is capable of transferring data, not just power, like for charging. Took me a couple of tries to find one out of all the cables I have. When you plug it into your computer or phone, it shows up just like a flash/thumb drive. It has 4 folders, one for each button. Just copy your MP3 file to a folder and delete the existing file that says "Button number X" when you press a button. If your source file was recorded properly at a proper level, it will play back clearly.

I needed a very quick replacement for my previous sound glove that had died right before a convention. I ordered this one only because it had next day delivery. I was expecting it to be cheap and low quality, but instead I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the various parts. The soundboard and buttons are very light and low profile, and even though I replaced the speaker with my own, the speaker that comes with the set is quite clear and loud on its own. I also like that I can power the soundboard with an external battery bank, as that adds variety to where I can mount and power everything throughout my costume. I have used this one for over 40 hours of events so far, and it has not had any issues at all.
