rats. Sorry I bought and assembled this. What’s with the positive reviews??? The whole thing is disappointing in every category. First, it was a pain to screw in, Nothing was pre-assembled (I thought I read a review that said it was). It wasn’t too hard to align holes, just a little, but so many. Two people helped. The width feels childlike. The seat is not what I would describe as cushioned, super thin and tilts slightly back so that you feel the hard bar of the front of the seat on the back of your thighs. Very uncomfortable. The back is flimsy and low so also very uncomfortable, bows to my weight and I’m only 128 pounds. Rickety so we tightened all the screws. It will need tightening again soon enough I’m sure. This was going to replace a similar foldout step chair I have had in my studio for 30 years, covered in paint and patched up with duct tape. But that old thing is still 100 times more comfortable than this stupid chair so I have to keep it. This thing can be used for guests? What a disappointment.

I love this chair/step stool! It serves as an extra chair in the kitchen, and I use it as a step stool for reaching the upper shelves in the kitchen cabinets, as well as the pantry shelves that I cannot reach without assistance. It also comes in handy for deep house cleaning and the ceiling lights. It is a sturdy built chair/stool and appealing to the eye.

Para el precio que pagas viene de calidad apenas aceptable, traía 2 agujeros roscados con mala calidad en la rosca y en uno con paciencia apenas lo pude apretar pero el otro no me fue posible ya que después de ciertas vueltas se empezaba a traroscar, creo que puedes obtener mejores productos por el mismo precio.

Love the step stool and chair design. My mother had one when l was young so had nostalgic appeal for me. Gave 4 stars in comfort because backing of chair is metal only no padding. Sturdy and space saving

Very sturdy. A little frustrating to put together. When the instructions say loosely put in screws make sure they are in just enough to hold it together until you get the seat on bc that is the worse part to get on lol. Was a gift and it was well received. Surprisingly sturdy and seems well made.I had bought the red one previously and it is Not sturdy at all, I took the chance on this one bc I figure less parts may make it better and that's true. I'd only purchase the white one due to this.Easy to use, flip up the seat and it's a step stool.Would recommend

The dual purpose chair works exactly as it is supposed to.Only issue I have is that the feet are very slippery on wood floors which makes standing on it a hazard.I have since ordered rubber feet to replace the hard plastic feet it comes with.

This was purchased to add a multi-purpose piece of furniture to the kitchen in our little 1 bedroom apartment. It works great as a stool and also quickly becomes a few steps so that my wife can reach the top shelves in the cabinet - great if you want to save space.I was a little worried about buying while reading some of the reviews, but I always take negative (and positive) reviews with a grain of salt. Turns out, if you put the chair together correctly, it works just as advertised. If it is wobbly to you, just loosen the bolts a bit and re-tighten everything in a standing position little by little. The method I used was snugging all of the bolts up to start but not tightening them down, then stood the chair and locked everything in. No wobble. Maybe I just got a good one, I don't know.The only thing wrong (not worth losing a star) was that one of the plastic foot-covers is damaged a bit. QA probably should have stopped that from going through but it's definitely not a deal-breaker and not even really noticeable.

Like this stool. Sturdy and comfortable to sit on. Like having the back for a handle to steady assents and descents . A good user friendly product a good value for the money.

I've decided to use these style of step stools in my kitchen instead of counter height bar stools. They have a wider base so there is less tipping hazards than the typical bar stool. My 75 year old mother sits in these with ease without the balancing act required from wooden bar stools. I love that my kids and grandkids can sit on this safely without fearing that they might fall off. The back is metal, solid, but not uncomfortable. It is curved and designed to accommodate the curvature of one's back.These stools serve the dual purpose of providing seating, as well as providing a step stool to reach those high cabinets and shelves. The stool is durable and will hold up well for years. It is well worth the money.The seat is vinyl and wipes off well.The seat was somewhat awkward to put together, and I'm not sure if we tightened it correctly. One screw for the top foot rest seemed to be stripped already upon arrival, but it was new and had not been put together previously. My husband had to do some of his magic to make it work and make it stable.The chair does rock just a little and isn't sitting evenly. I'm not sure if this is because we over tightened something, or whether it's in the design.

I purchased this 8 months ago but waited a while to write a review so I could see how well this this would perform and I have to tell you it has proven to be a very sturdy well built chair/step stool that has held up beautifully to the rigors of everyday life with a disabled person, me. I knew when I bought this assembly would be required and thought to assign this task to my son, but, he was not available when it arrived and being the impatient person that I am I set myself to the task instead. Surprising I found it to be a fairly simple job given all of the cautionary tales in the reviews here regarding this, the instructions were clear and I did not run into any problems, it took a little time but most things do for me these days. I gave it a home in my kitchen with the job of letting me sit on it while I do the prep work for my meals, cook, eat at the table and wash the dishes. It comes through like a pro by being very sturdy, stable, with a wide seat that makes me feel secure while sitting yet light enough to be easily moved around and small enough to tuck out of the way in my less then spacious kitchen all while displaying it's retro good looks. With limited mobility and a need to take a seat quite often this chair/step stool has been a real blessing for me. The taller height of the chair makes it easier on me to go from sitting to standing and while I am standing in my kitchen the top bar on the chair back has also been very helpful during those times I need a little something to hold on to steady myself. For the price this is fantastic buy one I would happily make again.Update 2022: Still in daily use and it has held up beautifully over the years. Does it function and look as good as the day I got it?... Yes, yes it does! Rarely do I find something that is this durable for such a great price.
