I am a special education classroom teacher and I have been looking for a great stool that doesn’t cost a fortune. This one is awesome! It is super sturdy and the best part about it is that is has rubber on the bottom so can easily transition from carpet to tile.

I use these in my classroom (with 3rd through 6th graders), and we call these the wobbly stools. We have a schedule set up so every kid gets a chance to sit on them, and almost all of the kids are eager to do so. However, they are known for bucking kids off - in the middle of a lesson, it's quite possible that one will shoot out from underneath a kid accidentally, which will cause a thump as their rear hits the floor. This happens often enough that we have a "five falls" rule that if you fall off five times during the day, you forfeit your turn (although no one has had to forfeit yet, but a couple have been close). It works with our classroom culture, but I know teachers who would be driven crazy by this.

Very sturdy. Works well. It does make some noise as they wobble.

I bought this stool because I love Hokki stools in my 3rd grade classroom but I can not afford them. This stool is very similar to the Hokki stool, but here are the draw backs.1. It is much heavier than a Hokki stool.2. The seat is much harder; I find it uncomfortable. Some of my kids dislike it, but some don't mind it.3. The one I got, the seat slightly bumps upwards into your rear instead of curving inward in a way to contour your bottom. I'm guessing it's not supposed to do that, but it does. When I got it at first I was just going to return it because I found it so uncomfortable. But I let my kids try it and many of them said they still liked it. Plus it was going to cost $11 in shipping to send it back. So I decided to keep it, but alas, it's not a Hokki stool.I've also tried the Kore wobble. I dislike this stool because it doesn't have the gripping foam like this stool and the Hokki stool. I felt like I was slipping off of it every time I tried to wobble. It is light weight though. It's ok.There is one stool I love, probably more than a Hokki stool, but it is expensive too. It's the Learniture adjustable height active learning stool. It is INCREDIBLY comfortable. The wobble is very pleasing to my senses. It adjusts heights and it spins (a feature younger kids probably would abuse). The only downfall is that it is about 20 inches high at its lowest point, which I found to be a little too high for 3rd graders. It would be perfect for 5th graders or older. Teachers would love it as a teaching stool. In a class survey I did, one of the most popular wobbles was also the cheapest. It is a plain old yoga ball. I do have a yoga ball in a chair, but they like the plain yoga ball better. My favorite yoga ball is Ignite by Spri. It is filled with sand to weigh it down, so it doesn't roll all over. And if you try to bounce it because you think yoga balls should be treated like basketballs during transitions, it doesn't bounce at all. The kids hate this feature, but I LOVE it!Overall wobble seat recommendations:1. You have a lot of money and teach littler kids: Hokki Stool2. You have a lot of money and teach older kids: Learniture Adjustable Active Learning Stool3. You don't have a lot of money: Sand Filled Yoga BallI would not buy the Regency Glow stool ever again because there are much better options available.
