I hate weeding. Words fail to describe my hatred for this basic task. This product is magic as far as I'm concerned. It's easy to sharpen, its long enough I don't have to bend over double or get on my knees to remove them at the roots - I just run it along the top of the soil and it lops them off. I am to the crab grass as the French Revolution was to the Parisian aristocracy.

I bought this diamond hoe almost ten years ago and still use it constantly. The head is very sharp and I've only sharpened it once. It makes garden weeding much easier.

What a difference between this and any other hoe. I tried regular, stirrup, star wheel and round hoes. This hoe glides under the surface with minimal effort compared to the other hoes. slices off weeds(and peas and beans if u r not careful) like butter. I can carefully weed right up next to the pant stems on the pull stroke, slide under trellises and rabbit barriers. I touch up the edges once a year with a flat file. I came back here after 6 years wondering if I should get another and the price went up a bunch. No more leaving it out in the weather.

This hoe is manufactured to Corona usual good/great standard of quality. However the design is marginal. Stating all sides of hoe are sharpened, leads one to believe it could be used like a hulu hoe. However, the angle to the handle is such that it only really cuts/hoes a single direction...no back and forth. Had the angle been 11 degrees different this would be a 5+ star weed-lethal hoe. As is--this hoe is of little more use than a triangle hoe.

This is a fine and cleverly designed hoe which work well -- but one star less because on hillsides it not only cuts weeds, it also pulls dirt downhill which you certainly don't want to be doing on a hillside where you've planted to hold the earth in place. This would be a problem with all such hoes, I suppose, and not just this one. But it's my experience with the hoe. As for it's design and how it works, it's very good. The diamond shape is kind of clever since it allows you to wiggle it around to cut weeds below the surface and even cut very small roots, but it's also a lightweight head (the handle is solid wood so the entire hoe is not that light -- warning) that isn't difficult to move around. It's very good -- but I'm a bit bummed by the problem of pulling dirt downhill when I use it on my hillside, so I may go back to more hand weeding which is more gentle. If I can stay balanced on the hillside!

I'm a market gardener and I've tried many tool for wedding the fields. The blade seems solid and the handle is certainly double coated with varnish so it's gonna last longer than some oiled ones found on other tools. This one would be good if the angle of the blade was less inclined cause for it to be flat on the ground and work properly, you have to hold the handle about 2 feet high wich is much too low. I'm 5'8'' tall so is not because I'm oversized for this tool! I had to take the handle off and put the blade in a heavy duty vise to change the angle of the metal part that links them blade to the handle but I assure it wasn't an easy task. It now works just fine without breaking my back.Today I weeded a 300 feet row in less than half an hour so is pretty efficient!

It's hard to find a diamond scuffle hoe in general, let alone one that is both strong and capable. I have finally found 'the one'. It offers a firm, strong handle with a razor sharp blade. My garden has never looked better!

I think this the most handy and effective weeder made. Can handle both light and heavy work with ease. Both forward and back cutting action. Great tool for all the tight places.

My sister has one of these diamond shaped hoes and she has had hers for at least 20 years. She brought it over to my home to help me do some gardening and I fell in love with it! I decided to buy one for my self and I could not find it at any of the major retail home centers such as Orchard Supply, Home Depot or Lowe's and even went to a couple of local garden suppliers and no one had them. Finally I looked on Amazon (where I should have looked first) and I found one and ordered one for myself.Used this amazing hoe this past weekend and it worked like a charm. It got into some tight spaces where I couldn't use a conventional hoe and got right next to the plant stem without any harm coming to it. Used it to get rid of some weeds in more open areas and it did the trick. I love my new hoe! One thing you should be aware of is the diamond shaped head is very, very sharp and use it with caution. Also if you order your hoe from Amazon, they do an excellent job of packaging it. It came nicely packaged and arrived without a problem!

I bought this hoe because my regular old fashioned hoe was not cutting it due to the proximity of weeds to wanted plants. It was just too big to maneuver around the flower bed and back breaking. I needed something that could get close to my flowers without yanking them along with the weed seedlings. I received the diamond hoe yesterday but could not use it till today because of rain. The ends are very sharp so be careful and I would recommend sharpening the front and back ends though if you have clayish soil like mine. My goodness is it a beast on the weeds that don't have tap roots and great on baby weed seedlings. I even got to scrape crabgrass seedlings from the cracks in the driveway! For things such as dandelions and larger weeds you do need a different tool, but that was not my intended use for this tool because I already have tools for that purpose. I highly recommend that gardeners buy this tool it will definitely come in handy!
