When this arrived I immediately noticed the shank was angled off to the side. No way a chisel will work like that. So I exchanged it. The second one arrived and I found it to be straight. Cool little tool to have for cleaning up corners. It came with a little cover for the sharp end, but the blade had already cut it through.

This is a utilitarian corner chisel. For something like clearing out a strike plate on a door this is great, but it’s contractor grade at best. It comes somewhat sharp but and you can sharpen it further but it doesn’t hold an edge well. The metal is too soft.If you’re looking for something to hand cut mortises in quantity you’re going to be disappointed. If you’re expanding your arsenal and just want to have this available as needed it’s not a bad purchase. But there are probably better corner chisels out there for the money

I’ve been looking for a good reasonably priced wood chisel that I can use for woodworking. I am doing some beginning luthier projects, such as building a cigar box electric guitar and need a way to more accurately remove wood. Obviously this chisel can be used for many more things that that, such as mortise work, hinge recess, framing, etc., but that’s my use case.The chisel is sharp and I find it accurate and a great tool for quickly removing the wood you need. It is a 90 degree chisel so perfect for that, but I also use it for smaller cuts as well. It’s rated to cut a depth of 2.76” and it’s made of high hardness steel. The blade is truly sharp to be careful. It’s nice that it comes with a plastic tip protector for safety. I’ve found the plastic handle to be very comfortable and it doesn’t become uncomfortable to use for extended woodworking.This is a very good quality tool and for the price it’s a very good value. Very happy to have this in my toolbox. Definitely a recommend to any homeowner who does woodworking projects or needs to just cut a hinge recess (need to do that too in our garage and will be using this tool), framing, cabinet making, etc. A great tool for everyone.

This corner chisel is a solid tool for quickly cutting perfect 90° corners in wood. It’s sharp, durable, and great for door installation, framing, and cabinet work. The high-carbon steel blade holds up ok, and the plastic handle is comfortable for extended use. I like that it goes deeper than typical spring-loaded chisels, making it more versatile. The tool is simple to use – just a few hammer taps and you're good to go.I was hesitant to get this at first because you can achieve the same result with my sharp high-end chisels. But this tool did surprisingly well for what I used it for. I can't attest to the quality of the blade and its ability to hold an edge, however, at this price point it does a good enough job. Just make sure that this is really sharp whenever you use it.
