I have cut vinyl for years, and I won't turn down a pick tool when offered - when I saw this one had an LED light, I figured, "why not give it a shot?" Sometimes simple tools with bells and whistles end up being too much in the long run - but this tool isn't more bulky than my normal pick...it just has a button on the end to make the tip light up.Overall, this makes for a basic tool with an added function that is super helpful. There have been times when I would have LOVED to have had something like this - and now that I have it in my arsenal, I can't wait to wield it in the future. Don't turn this down because you think it will be too much - this is just enough WITH MORE.

I got these to help with weeding vinyl cuts from my Cricut Maker 3 as well as to help me get difficult to get to supports picked off of 3D Prints I make.Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! These work great for both of those applications. The built in light really helps too. The metal tips as well as the body feels like I'll get many years of use out of these.I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. A 5-star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

I love this tool so much! I wish I had a pair of tweezers that had a light on them too and I'd be unstoppable! I use a lot of holographic vinyl when I make my decals and the bright pad doesn't usually work so I'm sort of stuck using the overhead light (boo!) and my cell phone flashlight to see the really small pieces but this tool takes care of everything! The light is bright enough to see what you're doing but not so bright that it gives you sun spots and you can't see your project anymore. I would recommend this to anybody who uses hooks in their art because this hook is so cool!

It’s a great all-around choice for crafters who need a reliable weeding tool with extra illumination.The only downside is that it requires 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. While the LED light is useful, it's a bit dim in very bright environments. However, for the price and functionality, this is a solid tool that makes detailed vinyl work much easier.

I was very excited about this weeding tool as I often find it difficult to see the cut lines on HTV vinyl. I think the design was clever to include a light, but it's definitely not perfect. The first problem is that while using the tool, the top tends to become unscrewed. I found myself constantly trying to re-screw on the top. Secondly, the point on the tool was not sharp enough, so with some of the vinyl, it took me multiple times to try to poke a hole in it. Lastly, I really love the idea of the light, but this light wasn't bright enough to effectively locate the cut lines in the vinyl. Overall, it's a nice idea, just needs a few tweaks.

This is a pretty nice weeding hook that comes with a clear plastic case. The case is big enough to hold the hook plus a craft knife or pen. I like my weeding tools to be very sharp for weeding thicker vinyl. The case is great to prevent me from pricking myself when fishing it out of my bag. The light is also great for on-the-go work since you can't count on good lighting. The batteries do make the hook a bit heavier, which could be a consideration if you have arthritis. I think a rechargeable battery would be a nice upgrade. I sharpened the hook, which is easily done with fine sandpaper. It was pretty sharp right out of the box, but there was a bit of a burr on one side. I was still able to weed with it just fine. The angle of the hook 87 degrees in case you need to know.

This weeding tool has a good size and weight to it. It was comfortable to use over a fairly long weeding session and the light was incredible helpful. The end is also just pointy enough to be useful without me constantly poking hole in the vinyl I am working with. I genuinely have no complaints, particularly given the price point (currently $9.99).
