This is a great little cordless soldering iron with a very usable temp range between 200 deg C to 450 deg C (392 deg F to 842 deg F). The temp control is very intuitive, with a + button and - button to raise or lower the temp. As per the instructions, pressing the on/off button twice switches the temp value between C and F. I initially charged the unit for 2 hours as per the instructions, even though it looked like it came with a 75% charge. I used this iron for a complete telecaster guitar rewire with a custom 5 way switch. The cordless method did work at 720 deg F for a full 40 minutes, and then I swapped over to leaving it plugged in to the USB charger.It appeared to come back to full charge (3 lights) after about 45 minutes, even though I was using it at 720 deg F. The soldering function works as it should, just as good as my corded 60W soldering iron. Not having a cord draped across your work, or getting caught on the edge of the table while working is a great relief now. The ONLY drawback I have with this product is the automatic shutoff after being on for 10 minutes. This is not described in the instruction pamphlet, and I can only find a reference to it in the Amazon product notes. This was a little off putting at first (the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5), having to turn the unit back on and wait for it to come up to temp every 10 minutes, BUT, this did slow me down and pay more attention to the wiring connections I was doing. I do wish it came with a case instead of the cardboard case with foam insert. Overall, a very good product for a good price.

Bough this for my husband he loves it. It heats up fast, easy to use, and super portable. The digital display and adjustable temperature are great features. Highly recommend!
