Dispensing salt and sand without complaint. I expect to spread seed and fertilizer with similar results. Feed and speed adjustable. Better build quality than expected.

I bought this once, first time using it the thing broke, exchanged it for a new one and it’s complete trash. Both times I went to use the two different machines they both died literally within mins of using them. It may work fine for fertilizer and seed but not with any sort of ice melt, sodium or potassium based.

It looks like a good idea but literally I use it once and it smells like burn it did not run anymore I cannot return it because I bought on September thinking to use it in the winter what a surprise it is just garbage seriously did not waste your time or money

Caught it on sale for $35. Would not buy it again. I used it for three days before an internal switch broke. The sliding feed door is plastic on plastic and it gets hung up. The dewalt battery doesn’t feel entirely secure when attached.I decided to take it apart out of curiosity and to see if the failure was anything I can fix. Well the actuator that the power goes through failed. I tested it with my meter and it failed. I ended up wiring a cheap household light switch switch to it because why not. I also used some sanding cloth to sand the slide door to control the feed of the granules. Currently after my repairs it works well. But I’d say stay away from this unless you too want to modify yours.

Made it quick and easy to spread fire ant bait around the house yard. Did not eat up battery. Nice spread pattern
