This review is based on initial impressions not long term use. For the price, it is pretty solid, runs smoothly, blade runs true. Made numerous cuts and it has plenty of power using an 18volt Makita battery. It would be nice if the plastic cover had some rubber bumpers to absorb impact, the blade cover will likely be the weak point. It came exactly as the picture shows with 3 blades. There is no information about where to buy replacement parts down the road so it is likely a disposable tool. I’m using Dewalt 18 tooth blades which cut well on the test run. Dewalt DW3983C. I wouldn’t have bought it if it didn’t accept Makita 18 volt batteries.

This is a surprisingly powerful little cordless bandsaw for cutting rods, wood, metal or almost any other material. The material and build quality also feels very good, with no obvious flaws while every component fits tightly, inlcuding the slotted in battery. The saw power is supererb, along with user-selectable 6-speeds to choose, and it can cut easily cut through metal rods and tubes.

Ever since I needed to cut some oddly shaped objects and my neighbor did it for me with his full sized bandsaw, I've been finding other jobs that a bandsaw would be perfect for. Unfortunately I don't have the space or money for either a floor or bench-mounted saw, so when I saw this I decided to give it a try. It is light enough to maneuver easily with either a one or two handed grip. I'm still figuring out how to match the 6 speeds to the material I'm cutting, but I do see how it helps to have variable speeds. I recommend this saw.

Me gusta mucho esta herramienta , apenas tengo 2 meses con ella pero realmente es mas fuerte de lo que parece , superó mis expectativas , es herramienta de corte diario , tuberias EMT ,rígidos, madera , cobre , es muy buena maquina hace muy bien su trabajo

Sometimes you want a tool for just a few uses a year. This tool worked great at cutting 2" steel pipe for my low voltage wires to pass through a ceiling to meet fire code. Cut like thru so easy. I highly recommend this tool. I used a Makita battery with it.

The main body of the bandsaw is extremely strong and durable. The bottom blade access cover is really flimsy and I expect it to crack on the first drop. Overall, it's an incredible value. The allen key in the handle is handy for adjusting the guide plate in the field. The blade access cover is tool-less. The battery is not compatible with newer genuine Makita tools. My only complaint is that the listing itself is a bit decieving. They show two batteries and two blades in the photo, but only ships one. Other similar listinting will grey out the battery attached to the tool, bit they didn't here. The Title also says "bandsaws"(plural) and "battery" (singular) so there's more confusion there. If selected as a kit, you only get one battery and one blade.
