These are pretty decent piano hinges for projects where you need up to a foot long hinge. They open and close fine. I haven’t had them in use long enough to find out the quality of the stainless steel prevents all rust.I’m knocking off a star because I don’t consider these “heavy duty” as labeled in the product’s title; I’d call them medium duty. Additionally, the countersinks aren’t deep enough to seat the screws’ tops flat with the hinge so if you want to use in a nice project you’ll either have to ream out the holes or find alternate screws, however, it’s good enough for shop projects.

I got these to add wing extensions onto my desk in my home office. They were exactly what I needed and hold a triangular shaped extension that weighs about 1.5 lbs. The wood I used was a about 3/4 inch thick.They were easy to apply and came with ample screws to secure them.They move well once installed, but I thought they were a little stiff at first. I noticed that there is a barely perceptible squeak. I'll probably apply just a little lubricant. I don't expect to be opening/closing them often, but I don't want them to be so stiff or squeak that they freeze.

Just what I was looking for to install on vivarium doors so they will open without a gap. The hinges are sturdy and open smoothly, the metal has a nice smooth finish, with no burrs or other defects from manufacture. There are enough screws included to install both hinges.
