Your cart is empty.Continental Elite Overrunning Alternator Decoupler Pulleys include a patented internal torsion spring that is tuned to the specific engine application. The spring absorbs base-engine vibration before it reaches the alternator. It also connects, but isolates the alternator pulley from the rotor, which in turn effectively eliminates the vibration felt by the driver. OADs include a one-way clutch (decoupling feature) that enables the alternator to coast freely if belt speed suddenly decreases, such as an engine shut-down or a transmission shift. Lower system tension decreases vehicle noise level, vibration, and harshness, and improves front-end accessory drive component life and fuel economy.

Installed this on 2005 Town and Country, all seemed ok at first, but after 1300 miles (1200 of which driving away from the house) it blew its bearings, sounded like a motorcycle under the hood. Had to have the alternator replaced since only shop in the area I was stranded in didn't have the tool to remove the bearing. I can't return because we couldn't get the bearing off the old alternator, which had to be returned as a core for the new one.

Was exactly what I needed. Our 05 grand caravan 3.8L was making a noise at idle, after some careful listening I found the problem. This part of the alternator goes bad and a lot of people end up replacing the entire alternator at 5x the price. Continental is a good brand with good prices. Will require specific tools which continental also sells at reasonable prices.

I received the wrong part. I was not able to replace the part before and now when I tried to changed, it don't fit.

I purchased this along with "Lisle 57650 Alternator Decoupler Tool Set" from Amazon and changed the pulley myself and the annoying noise from alternator is gone! sure beat having to change the whole alternator which the stealership recommended.will purchase another one for another vehicle of mine.Can't go wrong with Goodyear!
