The Reed Guard protects your fragile tenor saxophone or bass clarinet reeds and allows them to dry evenly to help prevent reed warping after use allowing them to last longer and perform better.

Bardzo dobry schowek na stroiki do klarnetu basowego czy saksofonu tenorowego. Bardzo przydatny i mały.

Keeps my Bass Clarinet reeds flat without compressing them, serrated deck allows them to dry naturally. See no reason why this shouldn't work as well for tenor reeds.

This has saved a lot of reeds. I have a 14 year old learning to play and she doesn't break a reed every day. Yay!!!!

I like the reed case, but I have ruined several reeds already by trying to get the tip of the reed under the rubber band. If I am very careful I can get the reed in with no problem. I have a similar (not vito) reed case for my Bb Clarinet and the reed tip slips under a plastic 'clamp'. I have never ruined a reed with that case. I would not buy another vito reed case.

Ok, I am not a proffessional. But, I am a person with expirence. Personally, this case is only good IF, you are new, like, very new. But if you have played for a while, I recomend the more "expensive" reed cases. This case CAN break your reed. For example, I was sliding the reed in at an angle at accedent, and it slit the reed in half. It is your decison to think if that was a stupid once-in-a-lifetime mistake or not. But again, great case for beginners. Bad for the expirienced...

This reed guard does the job perfectly. An elastic strap holds the reed to the guard, so that no damage is done to the reed, unlike the Rico/La Voz reed guards which can pinch and damage the reed. The bass clarinet size 2439 also fits alto clarinet reeds. The guard holds 2 reeds per side--a compact and economical solution to storing reeds with your clarinet.
