  • Fits All Bb Clarinets, Includes Both Natural and Composite Cork
  • Premium AAAA Grade, All Natural Cork and AAAA Grade Composite Cork
  • ***Installation Requires Contact Cement (not included)
  • Includes (1) Tube of Premium Cork Grease, (1) .15oz Bottle of Key Oil
  • Includes (1) .25oz Jar of Key Polish and (4) Sandpaper Strips

This kit comes with (4) new, composite tenon corks and (4) new, natural tenon corks. Three are for the clarinet joints, the fourth can be used for the mouthpiece, or as an extra cork for a tenon joint. One razor blade, one tube of Instrument Clinic Premium Cork Grease, one contact cement brush, (1) .15oz bottle of key oil, (1) .25oz jar of key polish, (4) sandpaper strips and written instructions are also included. Many musicians prefer composite cork for marching band or student instruments and natural cork for more expensive instruments or those that will be used primarily indoors. With this kit you can choose the desired cork and use the other to practice the installation, as it does take some practice for a perfect install. Please note: You will also need Contact Cement, a Ruler, Household pliers, Mineral spirits, or Soap and Water, a Small Screwdriver, and a Cotton Ball or Rag. *Installation requires contact cement. A one ounce tube will be more than enough. It can be purchased at most Dollar stores, Walmart and many other retailers. Be sure to use a non-water based contact cement, such as Weldwood, Super Glue Brand (not super glue adhesive, but Super Glue brand contact cement).

This was my first cork replacement attempt. The kit came with helpful directions that made it easy to get right without any trial and error. Contact cement was easy to find and didnt cost much. The kit maker says it is not included due to shipping restrictions on the chemicals. You will also want some pliers to clamp around the joint, putting pressure on the cork, though I made due without. The cork is good quality, and you get plenty. The extras are nice, but I havent used the key oil yet.

This kit has absolutely everything needed to replace the cork tenons on a clarinet - with the exception of the contact cement but that’s clearly explained and easily obtained. Good quality. Complete. Good value.

This is a pretty good kit for the cost. Just youtube someone doing the job and I bet you can do it! I don't think I did a perfect job at it but hey it turned out pretty darn good for not taking it to a pro!

This brought my clarinet back to life without spending very much at all. The pamphlet and video tutorial were extremely helpful. Cork replacement takes a bit of patience for a first-timer, but worked out great. It is a basic process, but care is required to dice the cork to size and not spill cement on undesired parts of your instrument. The material supplied would serve several more cork replacement jobs than for just the four cork strips included - so the next time you need to re-cork your clarinet all you need is more cork.*** As a warning, if using pliers be very careful when pressing down on the cork after completely installed. Although he emphasized to press lightly, I still almost cracked my wooden clarinet at the sleeve by clamping pliers too hard against the cork.

I purchased the Clarinet Joint Cork Kit and a Clarinet Pad Kit at the same time. I replaced all the pads and a couple of worn joint corks on my daughter's clarinet in one evening. I have never done either before, and these kits saved me a lot of money. The shipping was quick and the instructions were clear. The sandpaper that came with the kit, is less to be desired though. However, it really isn't that big of a deal, as I had more on hand. I actually enjoyed replacing the corks, it's an easy repair.
