These stairs are awesome! I almost didn’t buy these because of some of the reviews that mentioned people couldn’t get these to stay down in the water and that they floated up at the bottom. I put sand in which is recommended, and let them fill completely with water before attaching to my deck. They are so much wider than what I expected too! (Yes I know I could have measured my ladder and discovered this but midnight browsing did not exactly make me want to go outside and measure it.) stairs were pretty easy to put together although I do highly recommend use YouTube video on how to put them together because the included instructions aren’t the best. Also the color is so much better than what is in the picture! It’s lighter and goes well with the sides of the pool. I find them to be very sturdy but I’m not hanging off of them or doing anything crazy. Very happy with this purchase!

Got these stairs for the above ground pool. Ordered this set of stairs because of the weight limit. I am a big dude. I put them together with my Jr high age son and the stairs went together really easily. The assembly was pretty intuitive. I would suggest leaving the last few steps to do from wherever you are going to drop the stairs in from. Also, the instructions said to add 25lbs of sand if I remember correctly. I did not find that to be enough and added 50lbs of sand instead which worked much better. Having the assembly complete I went up and down the stairs and they feel pretty sturdy. I don't expect any issues with them supporting me. My only gripe would be on the two pieces that attach the stairs to the deck. Once you adjust the height I think there should be a set screw or something similar to lock them in at that height. Otherwise these are great sturdy stairs.

I was apprehensive to order these pool stairs since I've never seen them in person but our old used and wobbly pool stairs were in desperate need of an upgrade. These were seriously so easy to install (with two people), and as others mentioned needed more sand than the recommended amount in order for them to stop floating but they are seriously amazing! They are so sturdy, nice and wide, the treads are so comfortable, and the handrails are really robust. These are a serious improvement and we are so happy. Wish we didn't wait so long honestly. Delivery took longer than we wanted and we worried they weren't showing up but then arrived. Only complaint is that we didn't get the dark grey colour we hoped we were. Seller, update your photo.

The size & lightness of the material. However the handles are not very stable.

I needed new stairs for my 52" new above ground pool. These are solid, wide and relatively easy to assemble. They were well packaged and arrived in good condition. All the parts and instructions were included. Assembly was literally a snap. All the pieces snapped together as I just followed the instructions step by step. The reviews noted many different ways to weigh down the stairs. I decided to just follow the instructions and used gravel instead of sand. Since I am older and it's only me, I needed them not to be too heavy so that I may easily put them in and take them out with the changing of the seasons. I used 20 pounds of pea gravel. I first cleaned the stones well and poured 10 pounds into each side. I then lowered the stairs slowly into the pool. I leaned them to the right and allowed the water to fill up the stairs, I leaned them to the left and let them fill, to the right and to the left until the stairs just settled on the bottom. It took a good 10-15 minutes. As you can see from my photos, the stairs sit on the bottom of the pool without being anchored to the deck. I then screwed the stair attachment arms to a couple of pieces of 2x4s that are screwed to a 2x10 piece of wood as a base. I then strapped the base to my deck. I did not want to screw the stair base to the composite decking because screw holes would damage the decking over time. The winch straps are really strong and keep the stairs in place when tightened correctly. I love the extra width of these stairs. The hand railings are fairly sturdy and do well getting me in and out of the pool. I installed them in June 2022 and am writing this review 2 months later. I have had a couple of pool parties with kids, adults over 300#s and everyone in between. The stairs are still as perfect as the day I installed them. These are great quality pool stairs for the price. I highly recommend them.

I was nervous when I read reviews that said that even with sand in the frame the ladder still floated up, and was too heavy to lift out of the pool in the off-season. I read other reviews that talked about filling a bucket with sand and attaching it to the ladder, which would make it easier to lift out when closing the pool. Taking those reviews into consideration, I went ahead and purchased these stairs.I wanted wider stairs than the ladder that came with my 52" metal framed pool. The original ladder was not stable enough for me to feel secure. I also wanted something wider so it would be easier (and safer!) to get my grandchildren /babies in and out of the pool. And, as I'm getting older, I wanted something that was easier on my knees.Putting the stairs together was pretty easy. The box was a bit heavy for just me to move around. I ended up unpacking it in the back of my truck, and moving it piece by piece to the pool area. Definitely need to use a rubber mallet to get some of the pieces to lock in place. Instructions were easy to follow. Getting it into the pool was a trick to do by myself, but since I was going for something sturdy and safe, couldn't complain about the weight! These stairs are absolutely amazing. They are about 3 times wider than the original ladder (check out the pictures with yellow level for scale), and the handles provide safe access, even carrying a child. I decided to fill the frame with water instead of sand, so I just put the stairs in the pool, and laid on the stairs like a pool float. I moved it to different positions until the bubbles quit, until I felt I had filled it as much as possible. There was very, very minimal floating of the stairs after this, and I hadn't even attached it to the deck at this point. I did decide to put a bucket of sand under the stairs, attached with a bungee for now, just to take out that small amount of float. I was worried about it bouncing up and down when I took the first step in, and didn't want to rip my liner.I am so happy I bought these stairs, and although I didn't get much use out of them before closing the pool, I enjoyed every safe moment of easy entry into my pool. I have not removed it for the winter (Texas) and don't know if I'd ever get the water out so I could lift it out anyway. I plan to keep cleaning and filtering over the winter to avoid any possible algae buildup that I read about. Will see how that plays out this winter.
