Very easy to assemble, but I decided to weigh the steps down with weights instead of sand, making it easier when I have to take the steps out of the pool during winter months. It took 64 lbs. but it works!

These are sturdy, wide steps. Everyone from 4-years through 67 years were able to safely get into and out of the pool, both humans and dogs, LOL. Summer is supposed to be fun and it's the pool owner's responsibility to make it safe. These steps are wonderful and will last for years. Easy to assemble but we did need to weight them down with cement filled PVC pipes, two of them. Then they were tied under the steps. Worked out great.

The steps are solidly made and are easy to assemble. It has made exiting our pool much easier than our old pool ladder. Make sure that your sand is dry so it will pour easily into the ladder. Just when I thought it was full I could add more sand. Make sure you use coarse sand rather than fine sand it will fill easier. My only concern is how easy it will be to remove from the pool in the fall when we close the pool.

These stairs are sturdy and the height is perfect. I purchased these after reviewing a lot of stairs and this one got some pretty good reviews, the price is right for what I needed, I have a few elderly people who come over and using the ladder is a little bit hard sense there on the side of the pool and in the deep end. The directions where simple and direct, when it came time to put the sand in I opted to use pee stones instead I used a bag an a half and washed them off we filled it to the top and then finished assembling. Now ones in the pool you will have to lay the stairs down at an angle so all the air comes out this will take about 30 minutes or so but ones you do the stairs will not move and then you can place them about 4 inches away from the wall so you can clean behind them and bolt the stairs to the cement and make sure to put the remaining screws into the side of the bracket to hold it in place and then enjoy your new stairs.

These are so much better than the stairs that come with an above ground pool. Easy to get in and out of the water. Very sturdy and look great. We filled with sand but you can also weigh them down with sandbags if you will be moving them often. A bit tricky to assemble but not bad with help.

Just wish the handrails were more solid maybe they could be a metal insert.

I was looking for stairs that would work in an inground pool to allow my golden retriever to swim safely. Most of the products on the market are for above-ground pools; very few are for in-ground pools. You must assemble the stairs, but the instructions are clear and it goes together easily. One person can assemble it, but it goes better with two, and you certainly need an extra pair of hands to put it in the water. Assembly and installation time, just over an hour. I found the handrails to be wobbly, and I did not need them, so I did not use them. Also, with the railings installed, it is awkward to put your pool cover on and off and there are gaps. Finally, I did use play sand to weigh the structure down, but it takes more sand than suggested. And, it occurred to me that water would have also worked and I should have tried that first. All in all, the dog loves the stairs, as do most our older friends and relatives. Much better than a ladder.

Package arrived earlier than expected...much appreciated.Stairs are well engineered for easy 'click' together assembly, while following assembly instructions.....only 10 stainless steel screws to complete a secure assembly. Sand for ballast is a separate purchase...my Home Depot had it in stock.Loading the assembled stairs into the pool is easy with 2 people & setting it on the separately purchased 36" x 36" 'Resilia' blue ribbed stair mat - to give added protection for the pool liner.Final assembly was to anchor the stair outriggers to the concrete pool deck. The hardware for this is also available at Home Depot. My wife loves the larger top step to sit & paddle before swimming. We are very happy with our Curve Pool Step from Amazon.

Was looking for a set of inground pool stairs to temporarily work for the pool in the townhouse I just bought. After searching for some time, came across this Confer Plastics product, but this model wasn't originally on Amazon. Once I noticed it was on Amazon, I purchased right away and was not disappointed. Very easy to put together, by myself and was able to get it in the pool by myself. I added 50 lbs of sand and pebble material as I did some reading that weighting it down was important. Once I got it situated, it did not float at all. I do suggest eventually anchoring to pool deck or concrete pad, but the last month of this pool season I have just put 12x12 bring pavers to help hold it in place. My kids think it is great and now I have steps for my older friends to get in and out of pool. Couldn't be happier......

Our pool is older and only has a ladder. This of course was very hard for our older Moms to get out of the pool. I did a lot of research and based on the reviews, decided to go with these stairs. I am very pleased with my purchase. The directions where very easy to follow and my husband and I had it together within a couple of hours. We decided to fill the stairs with sand. Many people had great ideas to weigh them down that I feel we should have tried but my husband thinks we can get them out of the water for the winter close-up. We ended up putting 50 lbs. of sand in them. This is the reason it took so long to put them together. Filling the sand took quite a while. The play sand we got was damp so it would clump up. We ended up cutting a gallon jugs top off and using that as a funnel.Putting them in the water took a little time. I got in the water and my husband handed them down to me. We had to move them up and down to fill them up with water but when they finally got full thet settled down. We probably could have done this without me getting in the water but I was nervous about them hitting the back of the wall and damaging the liner. They do not float up and seem pretty secure. Our biggest problem was securing them to the cement. We tried to drill into the cement and could not get through even with a cement drill bit. Since this is a old pool we believe that they used a lot of stone in the mix. My husband ended up securing them to the casteing around the pool, then we used two pieces of resin under the pieces that connect it to the pool side, because of our casteing we could not secure them flat to the cement. We did buy bath mats to go under the steps. They where used for the first time and where a big success. The kids loved them and we got a big thank you from them. I believe for the money they where a great deal.

Fabulous! We are so happy with these steps. They're the best purchase we've made sense buying a home with an in ground pool. People that have to weigh the down or have steps that are floating around are not doing one crucial thing. The steps MUST be anchored to the cement deck. Our steps were moving a little too but as soon as my husband anchored them to the deck they're as solid as if we had built them in ourselves. Only so much sand and water can be put into them. I do recommend a mat to go under to protect your liner. Either way, these are a good buy if you have someone who needs help. Putting them together can't be done without a rubber mallet. It also is best with two people but it is possible for one. We also used pea gravel instead of sand to fill the steps. You'll definitely need a funnel to fill and patience. Good luck and it is totally worth it if you anchor like the directions say.
