Our last pool ladders snapped so we were in the market for a new one. I’m glad we went with this one! It’s very sturdy and was easy to install. It seems like it will last a long time.

It is hard to imagine that the steps could be more uncomfortable for bare feet. They are rounded up with a ridge across the top. Too bad, because it is easy to assemble and install and is quite sturdy. I guess I will look for a pair of beach shoes to wear in the pool.

This fit perfectly in my above ground pool. We purchased a deck and needed a ladder from the deck into the pool. The design is strange. You have to fill the stairs with sand and water for weight. It actually works perfectly and touches the ground and is stable. We bought a pad that the bottom of the stairs rests on so it doesn’t damage in the liner.

Easy to put together, is sturdy enough, but the ladder rung are painful on our feet . I cut up a fun noodle and use water proof Tape and attached them to the ladder rungs so now it does not hurt your feet to climb in and out of the pool. Bad design on the ladder rungs.

I don't know if somewhere says that it needs sand to keep it without floating. I was scared of putting sand inside because it is going inside the pool, so what I did was I filled it up with water to keep it down, not floating.Until now is working.

Easy assembly! I did add fine sand and then filled the legs with water (as the instructions tell you). I recommend doing this. One bag of play sand will work! Our pool is 22' round with a 1-3/4 HP pump that creates quite the current, add a couple of kids and the current/ wants are increased! My point? The ladder did NOT sway or move!Love it, highly recommended!******* UPDATE 2/23/2023 *******I have had people ask if this ladder will hold up to salt water pools. While my pool is chlorinated - I thought I'd add to my review with some answers to this question and address issues ANY salt or chlorinated pool can face with metal. (Keep in mind only the screws on this ladder are metal)! The screws are stainless steel - so it would be my assumption that they would last in salt water. The plastic the ladder is made out of is high quality and would last a long time - regardless of salt water.I live in the northeast and my ladder is only in the pool from June to September. If you live somewhere where the ladder stays in the pool year round - simply check the screws for corrosion throughout the year - but like I said the screws are stainless steel and SHOULD be suitable, (Read on for my technical info regarding stainless). Here's some technical info:Type 316 stainless steel is the ONLY type of stainless steel that will withstand saltwater. You can contact the manufacture of this ladder and ask them what the screws are made of. If they are not type 316 (marine grade) go to the hardware store with the ones that come with the ladder, match them up with appropriate size(s) and replace them with type 316 stainless! It will only add a few dollars, but will be well worth it.I will also tell ALL pool owners (salt or chlorine) this:1) Make sure their pool is GROUNDED properly grounded. This will prevent galvanic corrosion which could rust your pool handrails and ladders.2) Keeping you PH in balance is also very important. Low PH (acidic) water could damage your hand rails and pool ladders even though they are stainless steel, or simply have stainless steel screws! This is partially due to the fact that they are submersed and are not able to be the in a protective oxide layer which is formed in the presence of oxygen. KEEP your pools PH level in the recommended range of 7.2-7.6!!I went into this deeper than I needed to - but I thought it would help others as well.

I bought this to replace a traditional metal-rail ladder whose steps had degraded over many years. Installation was simple and the ladder looks good and is sturdy. The only minor gripes are that (1) the steps are a bit uncomfortable to stand on as they rise to a peak in the middle, and (2) you have to remove four Philips-head screws to remove the ladder for cleaning behind it. This wasn't clear from the pictures, and I was hoping it wouldn't need tools. Some form of fastening is certainly necessary, but a clipping mechanism rather than screws would be an improvement.Great value, though, and I'm happy with it.

Great ladder! Filled it with sand and water and does not float one bit! Used two risers sold separately and that brings my ladder right to the height of needed to be for my particular pool deck build height. It seems sturdy but does flex if a very heavy person gets on it, but it's held up find this far. All plastic so no worries about rust or electrical bonding....the x model comes complete with the platform, great deal! The color is also nice as its beige and grey and not stark white. Thus far I am really liking my new ladder and would but it again and again, for 100 bucks I don't think you can beat it, and it's made by confer with a 5 year warranty.

The plastic is stronger and more solid feeling than I expected. Nice looking design. Vertical ladder occupies minimal pool space in our 18' round 52" high pool with this ladder mounted on our 54" high deck. Came with stainless mounting screws which still look new after one season. The ladder does require weighing down so I filled it with glass beads and water which worked great. Sand or gravel and water would work too. The bottom of the ladder has a drain plug to easily drain out the water over winter. Only surprise was that the platform filled up with water and there is no drain plug for that, so I drilled two small holes in the bottom to drain it out - no big deal. Far exceeded my expectations, especially at this price!
