Got this for my son-in-law and daughter to put up in the third floor rec room as they have no heat up there. Only I’ve had a short amount of time, but it seems to work well and all the functions are pretty good.

Love the oscillating feature. It has a stationary setting as well so you can target the heat.

High heat output - also timer function makes sure you don't forget to turn it off. Swivel setting pretty much let's one heat the whole room evenly. No down side on this product if you need supplemental heating in an area. We particularly needed this in a basement workshop where there was no central heating available. It does the job.

Yeah, this is your average space heater. It oscillates about 40°, it’s fairly loud, and it heats well.Except, I bought for the remote so I could turn it on from bed to heat the bathroom before getting up. The remote works fine when it’s two feet away, not ten feet though. And it turns on to fan mode—you’ll have to sit up, turn on the light, put your glasses on, walk to the heater, press about twenty buttons (irritated exaggeration, I admit—it’s probably only five to seven button clicks), and go back to bed. Then it’s delightfully warm in the bathroom on cold mornings. Or! You could press the timer and run the device all night while getting minimal sleep through the noise of the fan.If that’s what you want, I recommend this product.

does throw off good heat, but it smells of plastic when activated.

Mostly, this seems to be a really effective heater. I love the various functions and the oscillation. It warms up my 10x13 office quickly and thoroughly. It is more noisy than I expected on the high and adjustable modes. But it loses a star for the awkward remote. It's egg-shaped to fit perfectly in your palm, which I guess is fine if (a) you have large hands, which I don't, and (b) you plan on carrying it around all the time...? Who does that? The back of the remote is curved, so it doesn't sit flat on a tabletop; it spins and wobbles around. How odd.

I experienced a bit of everything mentioned by other 1 star reviewers. Very smelly. Once it reached the set temperature, the heat wouldn't come back on no matter how long we waited. The oscillation feature was unreliable and it was really not very quiet (neither the fan nor the oscillator). I should have read the Amazon reviews as well as CR before making this purchase. Back it goes!

I bought this heater based on Consumer Reports ratings and recommendations. I returned the first unit because it didn't measure the room temperature accurately. This affects the effectiveness of the heater because if the room is actually at a lower temperature, let's say 68 F and the heater reads 72 F, the heater will not work unless you set the desired temperature above 72 F, which might be too hot. I thought that the heater was defective and exchanged it for another one. The exchange was quick and the new unit arrived promply. I tested them side by side, and both show the same temperature, which is higher than the actual room temperature. Given that Consumer Reports gave this heater their highest score (82), I'm going to keep one of the units. The second highest recommended heater in Consumer Reports with a score of 81 costs $650! The oscillation function stopped working after 4 days of sporadic use! For this reason, I downgraded my rating to two stars.

Me gustó que está bien valorado por Consumer Reports; me gustó su tamaño y sus funciones. No me gustó, recién desempacado y que al breve tiempo de estar oscilando dejó de hacerlo; frustrante.

This was top-rated by Consumer Reports (still is, in fact) and I bought in October 2023. it worked well for most of the cold season 2023-24 up here in the Catskills. Unfortunately, the oscillating feature stopped working after a few months, but the heat output remained very good. I carefully stored it after the winter and took it out the other day after we experienced a cold spell. It worked OK for three days until last night. (I say "OK" because these last three days I had to play with the mode and temp settings before I could get it work, even when using the manual controls as opposed to the remote). When the oscillating feature failed last winter, I sent an email and left a phone message with Mr. Brands, the distributor, but got no response. Of course, when the unit failed last night, the one-year warranty had already passed. Still, when this worked, it worked well. So I've gone ahead and bought another one at a big box store in my area. But this time I've paid a small fee for a three-year warranty.

Este calentador es una porquería. Es ruidoso, se atora cuando oscila y hace un ruido horrible de clic cuando intenta girar. Está hecho completamente de plástico delgado. La gente de Comfort Zone debería sentirse avergonzada por vender este montón de basura.

I am actually so shocked by the negative comments. I checked consumer reports and saw this as one of the top rated and affordable. I have tried tons of different space heaters but this one takes the cake. I have fibromyalgia so the cold and heavy lifting puts me in a ton of pain. This heater is smaller than expected, but it works better than my big bulky ones. It heats up a small room within 15 minutes, medium and large rooms 30 minutes to an hour. I also think it is very self explanatory. The buttons are clearly marked on how to turn up the heat, set a timer, and set to room temp. I appreciate that it automatically shuts off if it gets knocked over. I am seriously about to buy a second one because of how portable it is and how quickly it warms up a room.
