What a wonderful variety of colors. Easy to blend. I am not a skilled artist, but I enjoy dabbling in different media. I use soft pastels on different papers and fabrics. These went beyond my expectations. They came in a wooden case, which I was pleasantly surprised.

I like these chalks however the pigment is not very strong and there were chunks missing from the ends of some of the pieces.Overall, they make a fine medium for someone just starting out and learning how to use chalks. They blend very well together.

I loved the colors, the soft touch of the pastels, and the brightness of the colors I was using. I would block in the background color themes, warm, cool, and blend easily. I used pastel pencils for details. The sky was easy to work on to my satisfaction. I'm not finished with my first landscape using the new pastels, but I'm excited by the results thus far. My subject is the Grand Canyon sketched from a photograph I took around 20 years ago. I've worked on other paintings on the same subject. I appreciate the quality, price, and ease of storage of this boxed set. When I complete a work session, putting away my pastels is so easy. Cleanup is a breeze. When I received the set, the shipping quality and cost paid off and everything made it through just fine.
