Work well and look great.1/4" NPTIt's nice to have this large kit that has multiples of each style. They also sell kits with less pieces.I've been running them on all my tools for 5 years, and no issue to report.

I bought these to replace my cheap couplers that my air compressor came with. My old ones leaked all the time and were hard to connect/disconnect. These are very easy to connect and disconnect, the quality of the couplers is great, they are light weight but tough and do not leak a bit. They make a very tight seal.

I have owned a set just like this for 3 years with zero air leaking and zero issues. I recently moved and need many more for my upgraded workshops with several air line connections needed. I bought these as the price and quality are great and from past experience. I now have 6 different couplers in different areas in my woodworking shop and my automotive shop. I keep my air set at 90psi and have zero air leaks from the couplers and they all work flawlessly.I really don't understand the bad reviews of air leaking. My only guess is people are not putting pipe tape on the threaded lines. 2 to 3 wraps if pipe tape and snugging them down good is a must for any coupler you install. My 3 year old set I have banged whacked and used quite a bit and they are still holding up as good as the day I bought them with my first flex zilla air hose. Both are made by the same company and the quality is superb!

The connection aspects of these "couplers" is consistent with the quality and function of many other pneumatic couplers. The real plus is the color coded housing. I have now converted over to all red Legacy Brand couplers on my various pneumatic tools and hoses. These red ones are type "D". I no longer have to deal with couplers that don't mate up correctly. The only thing I would do differently since I bought these is to buy all "Push to connect" styles on the female side. They cost more and are bulkier but often my hands are full of stuff and it would be nicer to be able to use just one hand and force the male coupler into the female coupler without first having to pull back the red ring. But I am still pleased that I now, at a glance, see if a tool has the red anodized coupler and, if so, then I don't worry if it is going to mate up with my compressor hose.It is often the little things on a job that, when added up over the day, make the difference between feeling in charge or feeling smacked down --- with time wasted and recovery effort demanded when you should be working on the problem not on fixing tools. My dad used to spray paint things like this including all his tool handles with "his" color. One glance and he knew it was the right part or the right tool He was way ahead of his time. Before you choose "red" couplers you may want to go to the LEGACY CO. website and make sure that the product family described is consistent with your needs. They have other colors for other families. This is type D.

I work with electronics and basic construction projects daily. I have wanted a compressor for years and finally made the jump into buying one. I bought a Husky branded 8-gallon compressor. The unit was affordable and of decent quality. I went with an oil-driven compressor to save on noise pollution. After building my compressor and breaking it in, I needed to put a few things together. I got some teflon tape, a 50' Craftsman air hose that I got on a deal, and I ordered these fittings. I wanted fittings that were of good quality, and I also wanted my materials to look nice (the compressor is red, the hose is red, these connectors are red).In terms of pricing, they are fairly expensive. I spend 25% of what I paid for the compressor just to buy these fittings. They're necessary for everything you use, though, so I dove in and bought them.If you're debating getting this set or the smaller 7pc set, don't hesitate. Buy the 14pc set. In addition to constructing the air hose mentioned above, I needed more connectors for the tools I bought at Harbor Freight (they don't come pre-made). Overall, I have used almost every piece that I bought just to get my basic tool collection ready for use.Have metric wrenches ready when building your air tools/hoses!

I've been using the cheap brass couplers (with the rubber o-ring) and fittings for several years and I always found myself fighting with the air tools to get them to connect to the coupler and also had problems with it leaking around the o-ring. It got to the point where I had to lay the air tool down on the ground and had to put my weight on it in order for it to latch into place.I installed these as soon as they arrived and all I can say is I'm very impressed with quality. There are 4 ball bearings that secure the fitting into the coupler (inside the collar) which makes connecting/disconnecting the air tool a quick and painless process. Also, there are no o-rings you need to worry about tearing and leaking.I would have given this 5 stars but one of the female couplers was defective which didn't allow the fittings to seat correctly. Amazon offered to send me a replacement kit if I returned it, but I installed all the fittings already so it would be too much of a hassle to replace just the one piece. Overall, it was still worth the purchase.
