These open reel, long distance measuring tapes are so useful for big projects and plans. I am currently restoring several buildings including landscaping and we are often taking measurements of 50+ feet and the measuring tape seems like a simple tool but saves a lot of time in the long run and gives us more accurate measurements. The 1/2” inch tape is flexible and durable. It has a nice metal hook at the end so you can even manage measuring alone if needed. The hand crank works fine. Good tool to have.

This tape measurer works great. The reel is smooth without any resistance. I needed to measure my yard for a fence installation and the length of this tape made it much easier to get the measurements. The print on the tape isn't the best, but it is still clear and easy to read. My only complaint is the loop at the end is plastic rather than metal. Besides that it feels durable and matches the quality of the cheap tape measurers I can get at the local hardware store.

I used this tape measure to mark of distances for my daughter who was practicing for her drivers test and needed to back up a certain distance for the test. I will keep this tape measure as it will also be helpful in designating distances for my son’s soccer drills.
