These collar extenders are an extremely valuable addition to any wardrobe, especially when ordering shirts online. Let me tell you why: It seems that various shirt manufacturers, located in various locations around the globe, all have differing standards for sizing their wares. One country might offer an 18-inch neck shirt, for example, that is too big around the neck. Another country's idea of an 18-inch shirt might be so tight around the neck it is impossible to button the top button ... and buttoning the top button is very important if the shirt owner plans to wear a tie. These little collar extenders take the pain out of returning badly fitting shirts or consigning them to the trash heap. I find them to be one of the most useful accessories available and I simply cannot live without them.

They do what they are supposed to but it pinches the neck some due to being metal spring rather than elastic.
