I remembered when my parents used a percolator coffee maker. I bought this and it works great and makes great tasting coffee.

I love it! This is the BEST way to make a delicious pot of coffee. I decided to buy this percolator due to power outage and I also am trying to eliminate plastic.I will definitely use this from now on and expect it to last for many years as it's made of durable materials.

Does not work. The percolator grounds container is only held on by it's own weight, not a snap-on lid similar to Faberware's electric percolators. Although the instructions stated use medium heat, I still had grounds boiling out of the percolator grounds container. This engineering method of using the weight of the percolator grounds lid for keeping the grounds from boiling out, if using a specific level of lower heat, however the water still needs to boil. Everything else appears well designed or manufactured.Whether or not I received a percolator not intended for this container, I'm not sure. However, does appear to be as intended as the main lid does not snap-on, however nor does the main lid provide any additional weight upon the percolator grounds container lid.Long story short, this unit had grinds all over the place. And upon pouring, liquid also leaked all over the place. What Should People Expect From a Percolator? After my experience using this range/stove/campfire percolator, find returning to using a simple pot with water and cooking the grinds "cowboy style" and subsequently simply using a strainer for removing grinds method far better and far cleaner! These stove/range/campfire percolators seem to be the predecessor of the famed electric percolators. The real benefit of a percolator are the electric percolators. Electric percolators have many many benefits such as being plugged into any remote receptacle, certainly no leaking, grinds are well contained within the percolator grinds container. If using a stove/range/campfire, likely far better just resorting to a pot of water with grinds, and straining with a metal sieve strainer.Think people are being mislead from watching Western TV Movies, a campfire percolator is a need, when likely people long ago just relied upon a simple pot of water and using a strainer. The two methods of boiling grinds I've used for two or more decades without investing and wasting money with coffee makers, pressure cooking or boiling grinds subsequently straining grinds out and an electric (Faberware) percolator. And if you're camping/traveling and forget the strainer, just let the liquid sit a short period, allowing settling of the grinds!PROS1) Coating and manufacturing, all appears well made, more so once washed and heated a few times.2) The main metal container is lightweight, but still supposedly a (enamel coated) durable stainless steel.CONS1) Percolator grounds container lid is only held in place via it's weight alone, and will significantly leak grinds into the water during boiling, or heavy boiling. I would certainly fix the lid for making a tighter fit, and ensuring additional pressure down upon the percolator grinds container lid.2) The entire metal container excessively leaked while pour! Some refinement of the metal shaping is needed.I'm certainly returning this, reverting to a pot of hot water when boiling grinds on the stove or campfire!

The percolator itself is exactly as described and does work perfectly. I would give it a 4.5 stars. The part I was not a fan about is the piece that holds the lid to the pot. It is quite flimsy and will likely not last long. Otherwise it is perfect.

So nice looking! Solidly made. Love it! Its great to find a product that is both functional and decorative at the same time. I doubt I'll ever need to buy another one of these for myself because it is so well made, but this is definitely a good choice as a gift item that I'll consider buying for others.

Not sure if this Coletti Coffee Pot was available years ago when I purchased my GSI Enamelware Camp Coffee Pot...but wish I had purchased this one instead. Well, I have this one now and it is superior to the GSI similar model in a few different ways :** The baked enamel or ceramic coating was flawless...GSI has gotten lax in their quality control and often the Pot will arrive with chipped places in the finish. I recently purchased a 20-cup Coffee Boiler pot from GSI and it arrived chipped...Amazon exchanged it though and the replacement was OK.** The internal components are stainless steel...the GSI pot uses flimsy aluminum.** The Coletti Pot has a MUCH better method for attaching the lid to the pot with a proper pinned hinge. The GSI version uses a cheap metal clamp on the handle, and it can come loose and has to be re-folded onto the handle.** The Coletti Pot has a more robust bail handle...the Pot can be set onto a fire grate or propane stove, or hung above a camp fire.** The Coletti Pot has a glass percolator dome, where the GSI version is plastic.Very pleased with this purchase....

The lid doesn’t fit on the pot when you have the percolator inside so it doesn’t work very good The lid should fit on the pot

This is a beautiful, well made coffee pot, that performs excellently. The base fits perfect on our camp stove, and it made coffee at least 3 times faster than our old aluminum pot. You can feel the weight and quality of everything, including the stainless steel internal parts. The solid handle did get hot to the touch. However, the coil on the top handle, kept it cool. It held 6, 8 oz cups of water to the bottom of the spout. Using a Colleti flat filter, 6 TBS of medium ground coffee, and perking on medium low for 6 minutes, made a rich, delicious pot of coffee. Look forward to it seasoning and making even better coffee at the camp site. For the 5th Star, I would add wood to the fixed handle, so it would be cooler to the touch. Although, the heat may be welcomed on a chilly camping morning. Colleti makes a different pot with a wooden handle. However, I liked the style of this one better. I might try wrapping the handle with a leather shoe lace. The light metal 'hinge' on the lid, can be gently adjusted for a better fit of the lid.

When you put the coffee “container” inside of the percolator and try to shut the lid..it doesn’t close. Whoever measured the circumference and diameter of this coffee component container should be fired, as per the 1st and 2nd photo.3rd photo: that thin, flexible piece of metal holding the lid on should last 3-4 times before it breaks off. Can’t clean that portion properly either so I can only imagine the mold that would grow.Terrible design, the lid doesn’t close and the bendy straw piece of metal holding the lid on is just ridiculous. For $100 I expect the lid to at least close and for the device to actually function. Do not waste your money.Returning this item ASAP for a full refund
