I got this spring compressor to use to replace my old set. I needed a spring compressor that can fit inside the spring. I have very limited space around the coil springs. This allows me to remove and install new springs. I recommend this for anyone that has space limitations.

This spring compressor is just like the ones you rent from your local auto parts store. I have never had a really good one of these, and this one seems to be a similar build to all the others.It works exactly as you need it to work. It compressed the springs to a point where I could remove the old and insert the new springs. I used this, in combination with another spring compressor to compress the springs for a lift kit install on my jeep. The compressor tool worked great.The threads are a little worn towards the area where the tension was getting pretty tight. Not bad, they still spin smoothly, but you can just see where the paint is now gone. I noticed that the washer was chipping away, as it appears to grind against the arms when they are under pressure/tension. But not enough to stop anything from working.It worked great. I used it twice to take off the old and twice to put on the new, and now it is ready for the next job.I am happy with this coil spring compressor.
