This is an amazing hot beverage dispenser. It holds 80 cups so it is quite large and percolates the 80 cups of coffee in a short period of time. It made of double walled stainless steel, has a built in thermostat and a powerful heating element that maintains the temperature to brew a beautiful cup of coffee and maintain the temperature until the last drop. There is a removable filter basket so clean up is really easy. This is a great investment for commercial use. It is a bit too big for the household unless you are having a really large party. This is a high quality item that is well worth the investment.

Bought this at the end of May for use at our weekly club meeting. Nice looking unit and most of the guys were impressed with the look and feel of it. Unfortunately the pot started having problems after the second use. It’s stops brewing then starts and stops over and over again. It take 2-3 times as long to brew a pot of coffee as it should. I contacted Amazon. They guided me through the process of a return through a third party seller. The chat help told me it would be no problem and he was going to finish the rest of the return process and we parted ways. He said I’d hear something by 7/3, it is now 7/10. I requested an update 2 days ago. I haven’t heard a thing. It’s a $172 coffee urn and no response. The group is on my case about this since it’s group money being spent. I’m beyond aggravated.

Purchased this specifically for a large gathering Tea Party. Received raving reviews for the tea and many asked what flavor. When it comes to hot tea - the pot cannot be previously used for coffee. So glad I made this purchase - tea water temp was perfect when using the pot without the percolator option.

Strange that’s there’s no volume indicators anywhere on it. You’d think the fluid level gauge on the front would have volume indicators, or the inside of table would have markers. Litres and/or cups would make sense. Also would be useful to have a heat indicator, all there is is a light which I guess means it’s hot when it goes out.

I love coffee. I’m a bit of a coffee snob, but I’m not too proud to occasionally drink the same swill you peasants drink daily. I digress.I named it “the anti-sensory deprivation tank” because it’ll brew and hold 14.2 liters or 480 ounces of caffeinated coffee. The build quality of this urn-type coffee maker is excellent; it’s a double-walled tank, so it’s not so hot to the touch outside, and it keeps the coffee inside toasty warm.Speaking of the outside, it’s an attractive design for coffee makers. The top lid securely locks in place. The spigot works well enough, and it’s placed sufficiently above the base to fit tall coffee cups underneath it. The slight glass is a nice touch to monitor water/coffee levels. The box for this WerkWeit Coffee Urn says it can hold 100 cups, or better yet, 100 5-ounce cups of coffee.I did not make 100 cups; I made 20 cups using 9 grams per cup of coarse-ground coffee and a flat percolator filter. FYI, at that rate, making 100 cups could require two to three pounds of coffee. The coffee turned out hot and tasty, which I like, but getting there takes a little care.Making this much coffee simultaneously takes different techniques than less voluminous brewing techniques. My experience is that you need to watch the brewing time and the grind; since the water passes over the grind multiple times, over-extraction is a risk.Courser grinds work best. Sometimes, I’ll preheat the water, then add the coffee (a no-no anywhere else; don’t report me to the coffee police)Otherwise, this WerkWeit Coffee Urn would be great for parties and other large gatherings or events.

We used it for boiling hot water instead of serving coffee. Work great and the color is very elegant.

Bought for church coffee hours. No marking on inside of pot for making fewer cups.
