I like that it's textured for grip but not messy like substrate so it can go on the upper level and not rain down

I used this to fill bottom of garden pots. What was great, was ease of cutting. I just used regular scissors!

Was handy to line pots to hold moisture. It was a little thinner than expected.

I have a small, indoor, microgreen garden that I use often. I decided to save money by switching to this material. It’s not good. It works. My microgreens grow but the coconut fibers end up IN my greens and I have to arduously sort through them handful by handful to make sure the fibers are out. I would not buy this again.

The premade coco liners were astronomically priced this year. This was a much more affordable way to DIY. I had to use a little bit more liner than anticipated due to the shape of my baskets. It’s still ended up more economical than premade.

I used the coco mat to line 4 orchid boxes. 2 boxes were metal work, 2 boxes were wood slats. Then clean the orchid roots, fertilize, and fill with bark, white porous foam, and top with sphagnum and shaved coconut to retain a bit of water. This is a very economical way to buy this product. Please note, the orchids are in a shade house with auto irrigation. My only negative comment is that the coco mat liners allow more evaporation than the terra cotta orchid pots, but it is so much more versatile. So there is an learning/understanding curve with this new product. The product does allow you to make some very nice arrangements in larger boxes. The Pic is of one metal box, with a phal, the method worked best with the 2 wooden boxes filled with cats, but they had stopped blooming. I would buy again and I enjoyed the new experience.

This product is thinner than what is sold for stairs in winter, but for the price difference it works fine for our needs.
