My cat loves this toy! I had a smaller one from a different company but I think it was designed for a kitten and not an adult cat. I like the fact that you can purchase refills for the center scratch pad.

This was a great purchase for my two cats. They love clawing at it and the cardboard in the center is very easy to replace. Sometimes, one of my cats sits on top and hits the ball back and forth, it's adorable. Recommend to any cat owners out there, it's a keeper for sure!

They love this, it’s very sturdy, great for scratching and it’s the perfect size. Even my pup loved chasing the ball

This is the third one of these toys I have bought over the years. Some of my cats will just sit there knocking that ball around over and over. Then some of our cats are only interested in the scratch pad. This is why I say you can’t loose buying this toy. I’ve tried the ball toy tracks where the cats can only hit the ball from around the sides of the track and they were never well received. However, a lot of cats enjoy this ball and track. I have even had cats whose main goal when playing with this seemed to be removing the ball from the tracks. This is a toy that will be used in one way or another so don’t hesitate and buy one.

I've used this toy with cats for years. It is great. But do better! How can you send this WITHOUT THE BALL?

Very steady if put directly on a carpet. I did not assemble this toy to my floor. On a carpet is ok to use and this toy doesn’t move on a carpet. Scratcher in a middle - perfect , it is from carton paper which is good to scratch and cats usually loves cardboard and carton paper . My cat loves to play with a boll . Perfect toy for a small cat, do not need to assemble . Good price and fast delivery. Feel Happy !

My three cats love this thing.Years ago, I had purchased a toy similar to this one, but without the cardboard in the middle and they would play with it all night long, non-stop. That one has long since been gone- it was durable enough for the cats but just didn't hold up to the German Shepherd too well.I'd forgotten all about this type of toy until recently- my little brats kind of each keep to themselves, so they don't play with one another and need something to keep them amused during the day since they've been getting a bit rambunctious and destructive lately. I was going to get the original open-center one, but then saw this and figured that they love their cardboard scratchers so I'll give it a whirl. I have to say, all three of them approve that decision. This scratcher is very seldom without a cat on it.They will sit in the center and bat the ball around. The ball is weighted, so once they give it a wallop it keeps spinning for a while. I think it keeps going on its own for longer than the open center type of toy, but it's more difficult to keep going when you shake it with your hand then set it down. It does make some noise, but not enough to drive you insane. It's in the living room, and I don't mind if they play with it while I'm watching TV.Even when they aren't playing with the ball, the brats love to sit on it, sharpen on it, and even nap on it. One of them is especially evil, and will nap on the center cardboard holding the ball in between her paws with a fang resting on it, just to torment the other two.I have noticed there has been less naughty sharpening (on the walls and furniture) since purchasing this, however I did get a doorknob toy at the same time so it may be the combination of the two. Regardless, it gives them something to do by themselves during the day, and even at night when everyone is home they will still sit on, sleep on, and play with this scratcher.Although there are several other cardboard scratchers throughout the house, all of which are larger, this one has become the scratcher of choice. It may be because this is the "desired" toy as of late, but apparently none of the others are quite so good on the claws and toes as this one is.[...]

I live alone with one cat and was worried she was becoming bored during the long winter months. I typically purchase small furry toys resembling mice that almost immediately get tossed under my couch and out of reach of her small kitty arms. This looked like the perfect solution. The Bergan Turbo Scratcher Cat Toy was intelligently packaged, and I was pleasantly surprised with the complimentary bag of cat nip.I placed it on the floor, and while my cat seemed curious, she wasn't quite on board. I suspected the new plastic smell may have been off-putting. She watched me as I got on my hands and knees and rolled the ball around and scratched at the cardboard center. I was worried this would be some cheap junk, but the ball is substantial and makes a great noise as it rolls around the track. This is definitely a quality product.Several weeks passed, and I realized she wasn't all that interested in this thing often actively avoiding it. One night, after way too many beers, I decided to just pick her up and sit her down right in the middle of it. This was a rookie mistake. She clawed three deep cuts in my arm, hissed at both me and the toy and took off down the hallway toward my bedroom like a cat out of hell. Then finally it happened. It's a Wednesday, midnight, pitch black, and I'm in bed awakened by the unmistakable sound of that ball rolling around the track. This was followed by deep and satisfying scratching on the cardboard center. My cat was in bliss, making noises I'd never heard before! I didn't waste my money! Eyes closed, covered in blankets, I smiled and congratulated myself. Nice job. This exquisite nocturnal playtime with rolling and scratching kept me awake for well over two hours. While pleased with this turn of events, I do have to work in the morning. As the darkness of night got quieter, the noises seemed to get louder. "Alright", I finally say, "this is about enough" and I turn on my bedside lamp. Jokingly, I cried out, "Hey, you mind keeping it down out there?!" My heart stopped as I suddenly discovered my cat sound asleep right next to me.
