Bought the wrong gas canister by mistake. So rather than taking it back, figured I'd just try this out. Works great and I don't have to worry about grabbing the wrong canister again.

Does not work. Installed correctly. Pin does not travel enough to allow co2 flow. I can manually push trigger button on canister and gas comes out. Put this unit on and both the new soda stream trigger nor manually pressing the trigger on the adapter allows gas to flow. It’s useless.

I live in the country and 45 minutes from any box store.I once went to get a new Co2 cartridge and they were out of the one I use but had plenty of the other one.This would have been great to have then. That was years ago and I gave up on my soda machine at the time because it was new technology and had glitches.So, when I decided to give the soda machines another try a few months ago, I was concerned about the cartridge availability issue. I got this to alleviate my concern.Yesterday, I found myself staring at an empty shelf for the one I use and a full shelf for the other one.I grabbed one of those (despite my husband trying to wave me off repeatedly) and took it home.I hooked it up and it worked like a dream.No issues at all.I was so relieved to see it works because the soda machine has helped us reduce sugary drinks without giving up the sparkling aspect we love.I recommend this to anyone who had a soda machine and has limited access to multiple sources for the Co2 canisters.

This adapter is good for using new bottles on Old style machines.This item is made of one solid piece of high quality aluminum and it comes with two gaskets made of silicone. I'm impressed with the machining quality of this component.
