This bevel gear set worked however the cut on the teeth is very rough and not centered on the axis of the bore. Teeth mesh is quite abrasive. The hardness is quite high so trying to clean up features with hand files is tough.

I bought these to potentially use on a FRC robot. They are a little rough on finish, but turn pretty smoothly and should work for light to medium power outputs. I would worry more about the shaft connection slipping than breaking teeth. I set up my spacing to be 20mm from gear center to gear end (see photo). This worked reasonably well but left some gear lash. Adding a 1/2mm shim under both gears eliminated most of the lash and still allowed the gears to run smooth. I used 8mm x 16mm x 5mm flange bearings purchased on Amazon. The 3D printed frame was just used for proof of concept, I would probably make the final product out of AL. For the price I feel they are a good deal and would probably buy again if the need arises.
