I am short and I can never reach my purses on my top closet shelf so I got this. It is so easy to get them down and out them back up with this pole. It is super light reaches to top easily with the length it is and is a must for me now.

So, I bought this for 2 reasons that has little to do with clothes. 1) I have plants hanging from my porch overhang and need to take them down from time to time, now no ladder needed. I also have a couple of bird feeders that need to come down to fill, and since they are over 6 feet in the air I can't reach then without standing on a step stool and still have to stretch. I fell over a couple weeks ago and broke a couple ribs. This device is now my go too for bringing those feeders down to fill.

I bought this for my 85 year old mother to get her clothes out of her closet and not climb up to get them. It’s very sturdy and easy for her to use. I’m thankful she no longer climbs on a chair to get her hang up clothes. I thought it was very well priced and would buy it again.

I recently did a closet renovation and used all the vertical space by putting rods that are well beyond my ability to reach. So I ordered this and it’s working out very well. Granted it is slower than if I were to actually reach and be able to put the hanger up on my own. But I don’t have to go get a ladder or store a stool in my closet. I can easily put a hanger on the pole and it hang it on or remove it from the rod.I also like that I can just put the pole directly on the rod to store it and I don’t have to worry about it falling over.I have been using this with plastic hangers and have had no issue with slipping. Depending on your hanger type, you would use the thinner portion or the wider portion. The wider portion would be good for a thick wooden hanger but sideways works well for me with my plastic hangers.My hanger rods are set at about 89 inches from the ground and I am 5‘5“. I only needed to use three portions of the extender and I probably could even put it down to two. With that being said this comes with four portions so you’ll be able to reach significantly higher.

I ordered this to use outside to hang bird feeders, lights, etc. which I would normally have to use a ladder for. So far, it has worked well for bird feeders, hummingbird feeders, wind chimes, and small plants. My only complaint is that it isn't retractable, so it's hard to store because of its length.

I was surprised how sturdy this is. Once you screw it together it becomes a single solid rod without any play or wobble. Its stiff and does not bend when lifting things. I like that the hook end is not too big so its not cumbersome and can get into smaller spaces. Its not collapsible so that might be a negative for you but I'm ok with it as you don't have to worry about it slipping closed and its a smooth shaft without any locking clips or rings so it doesn't get caught up in other things. All metal construction so it should last a long time.The only negative I have and which knocked off a star is that the paint on the hook end is flaking off, it came out of the box with some paint chips. If you pick at it the paint will come off. need some quality control here.
