You could eat out of my computer chassis, and I used alcohol swabs to clean the point of contact, the velcro peeled off in less than a week. The lights look great though, so I solved the velcro issue by getting tiny blue zip ties and drilling a couple little holes in the backplate at each end of where I wanted the light. Thread the ties through the holes and around the light and they're not going anywhere.Cabling is a bit short if you're using a larger case (im in a haf-x), but at least larger cases give you plenty of places to hide things, even if I couldn't stash it in the unused fdd Bay like I wanted to.I'd buy them again, just wouldn't use the velcro that comes with them. Even double sided foam tape would have worked better (and has on a couple other things I've put in that case).

This was a terrific purchase for me! We bought this unit to fix up my Need for Speed Underground Arcade unit. This part went in like a charm and saved me alot of money! It continues to work brilliantly!!!

I imagine it would have looked pretty good, it fit very well in my case. If only it worked... It is powered by a really cheap 70s looking power converter that was faulty out of the box

for what you pay they are bright and good, only down side is that the cables are extremely short so it doesn't leave room for cable management. Also had to paint the sound sensor black as it come a baby blue. Also when i plugged it in it started to fry the cables for a second and stopped before i could turn the power off. runs fine and doesn't fry the cables anymore, but freaked me out because they were fully connected.*****Update 10/20/2014*******Burnt out already, very upset with the quality and the reliability with this product.I do not recommend you purchase this product as it does not last long. 3rd pair i've personally worked with that has burnt out before a month.

With the current status of my gaming rig, I bought this cold cathode kit to add a little flair to the Antec 900 case (three blue LED fans already). As such, I went ahead and installed them once they arrived (very easy installation) and found that there wasn't an issue with length of the cords for my particular set-up, but I can see how their size and cable length would make it impossible to just place them anywhere in your case. So far I have had no issue with reliability (they always turn on and the switch is perfect) and they have lasted a good month now. However, regardless of the quality of the lighting, such as the ridiculous brightness associated with these cold cathodes, the product itself comes off more white than blue on the spectrum between those two colors. The tube itself appears white with the plastic around it consisting of a few vertical blue lines (hence the lack of giving off a full blue color). As an FYI, I went with a 4 Pin Molex to 8 Pin ATX EPS12V connector. Both lights plug into the unit provided, though I eventually removed one to serve as a back-up because one gives off more than enough light to light up the entire case in the darkest of rooms. Finally, the sliding switch, as mentioned above, is connected through a PCI slot, which may not be entirely accessible based on your set-up. So far there have been no hardware issues. For a cheap cold cathode kit, as long as you can get past the lack of blue color (hence my 4 stars), this unit will serve you well. Maybe try red or green instead if you're worried about the color since I think purple might have the same issue as the blue.Enjoy!

This product exceeded my expectations. There is an on/off switch that mounts at the expansion slots. There is a connector wire that plugs into the inverter. There are 2 plugs on inverter that run to the tube lights.PROS:1. easy to install2. nice and bright compared to other products3. nice long cable from on/off switch to inverterCONS:1. You can only place the 2 lights a limited distance apart. The 2 cables from the inverter to the tube lights could be a few inches longer. If you have a full tower case, you will need to plan carefully. If you have a full tower case, I would recommend buying 2 of these (4 tube lights & 2 on/off switches)I had purchased 2m led rope lights that did not light up the case adequately.I purchased these tube lights as a brighter solution...much brighter than the led rope lights.

there are other lights available, but not all have an external switch. as long as you aren't using every one of your PC tower's expansion slots, it is a great option. They are also really inexpensive. the only issue i had was that the wires were a little shorter than i would have liked. it took some creative routing, but i was able to get them where i wanted them.

Used these in a gaming case build, they are bright, but look more white than blue. The cords from the light to the control unit are extremely short and literally destroyed every hope i had for cable management. They use a 4 pin molex connector which is nice, and both lights plug into the same control unit, the PCI Slot switch is cheaply made, have another kit from another manufacturer and it has a toggle switch where as this one has a sliding switch, in my opinion its cheap. If you are looking for a cheap cost effective way to get a good glow from your case this will do the job, but thats about it. Dont expect deep blues from these lights its lighter than baby blue and shines practically white in my case. If you are picky about cable management like me then dont buy these, my case looked super clean with no wires showing until i put these in, there is no possible way to conceal the wires from PCI Switch to Control Unit because they are so short. Sorry for the long review, just want everyone to be well infromed, Thanks!
