This review is for the ACESAK Clear Backpack Heavy Duty Thick - Clear Bookbag with Lunch Bag Set for School See Through PVC Transparent Backpacks for College Travel Work Girls Women (Black).I ordered this set of bags to use at venues/events/buildings that only allow clear bags. It's also worth noting that we're adults and we're very hard on our bags. There may be an added positive bias here because I was expecting so much less, and I have seen so many of these clear bags for kids that were absolute junk. Even through the lens of presented with a completely different level of quality and size than anticipated, I'm still looking at the details objectively. As a professional traveler, I know where bags tend to fail and what to look for. Conversely, I also know what elements keep a bag sturdy and prevent failures/problems.My first impression of this bag was that it's well constructed with surprisingly durable materials. It's also a full size backpack and shoulder bag. Being labeled as "kids" bags, I expected them to be small.Everyone else will probably go over the features, inclusions, and pockets, so I'll focus on the things you can't get from photos. However, I'll attach several photos. There were some signs that these might be rejects from a more expensive name brand, but these were only cosmetic irregularities. There were a few (2 or 3) hanging threads on the seams and there seems to be some examples of things being slightly off-center or slightly crooked, such as the large flap over the main zipper compartment and the buckles. These things are so minor that only the person using the bag regularly would ever notice, and that's most likely only if you're looking for these things like I was.Having said that, if you cut or burn any hanging threads, you're not going to be affected by the slight errors. I'm saying that as someone with fairly moderate OCD.Transparent bags always look weird because you can see through to inner parts of the bag, such as seams. Since those are going in other directions or at a different angle than the exterior side you're looking at, it's nearly impossible to notice if an edge is 1/4 inch off from one side to the other.Although this might turn off some people, it really shouldn't. Very, very few people would even notice these things if I wasn't pointing them out. In my opinion, it's a very small price to pay for a small price. Even though it's not marketed this way, these little irregularities are likely the reason we're getting a set of bags that could easily sell for double the price or more. Slap a brand logo on it and the price would double yet again.I'm picky, critical, have OCD, and would be embarrassed walking around with something people could tell was irregular. I'm also frugal. Mix all of that together and I'm telling you that you'll be happy with this bags if they will serve the practical needs that have you searching. To get further into the weeds...There is an inherent weakness with pvc material, regardless of the brand or intended use: if it punctures, the entire bag can quicky become useless. Any pressure can make it continue tearing without interruption. It's not like fabric where a tear can be interrupted by the next thread that isn't damaged. There is also no cross threading. Although not PVC, think of a trash bag when something slices through it. Once it fails, there is nothing to prevent or even slow that failure from spreading. It takes more force to break through PVC, but the reason (to my uneducated brain) is the same. PVC can also crack when it dries out with aging or sun/weather exposure. It can also get brittle in freezing temps.None of that is specific to this bag, but if you want a clear bag, PVC is your best option. With that in mind, the specifics of a bag become important to help determine how much or how easily that weakness might affect your use and the lifespan of the bag.The thickness and flexibility of the material make all the difference in the world, and this material is impressively thick and durable without being rigid. It is flexible and can stretch (with a lot of force). This will make it much harder to puncture or tear the material. It would also mean that even with exposure, it would take years and years for it to dry out enough to make any difference. The seams are reinforced with PVC tubing which further strengthens the bag. These things are really bent out of shape when unpacking from being compressed and the edges being bent for an extended period. That is very normal, but in the process of pushing and pulling at the seams and corners to force it into shape proved to me how strong the seams and material is. Many of the seams were inverted and the materials stick to each other, so it really needed some force and manipulation to pull them out. I was nervous about the force needed because that amount of force would easily tear or damage the material or bust stitches on less durable bag. The seams and PVC on this bag didn't care what I did to it. After straightening out a couple areas, I realized there was absolutely no need to be careful with these bags.On the topic of getting this into shape after umpacking... It will take a bit to correct what happens by flattening the packs and vacuum sealing them. I pulled all of the seams into their correct position and then completely stuffed the bags with towels and adjusted the towels so it squared the bag. I let it sit like that for a few days. There was a corner that where the material was almost creased and bothered me. While the bag was full of towels and applying pressure to the material, I aimed the hair dryer at the area for about 30 seconds and then lightly pulled at the material. This smoothed it out. If you need to use heat, just don't leave the hot air on for more than 30 seconds or so, and don't put the hair dryer any closer than about 8 inches. Initially, hold it further back and check the temp and feel of the material after every few seconds. If you're too close or heat it for to long, it can very quickly change from soft to melted. Better to not get it hot enough the first time and need to repeat it, than to be too aggressive and melt your bag or cause it to actually change shape. You're just trying to soften it to smooth a crease. If you can smooth it while warm and keep it smooth as it cools, it will harden that way. Hard is probably the wrong word for this material, but it will firm back up.

When I came across this clear backpack set, I immediately thought of my granddaughter. Pink is her absolute favorite color, and the bright accents on this set made it an instant hit. The fact that it’s transparent sealed the deal—many schools now require see-through backpacks, and while I’m still wrapping my head around why that’s necessary for younger kids, I appreciated the added visibility it gives me as a guardian. The build of the backpack is surprisingly solid. The PVC material is thick and doesn’t feel flimsy like some others we've tried in the past. It holds its shape well and stands upright on its own when packed. I noticed a slight plastic smell when we first opened the package, but it faded within a few days after airing it out.One thing my granddaughter loved just as much as the color was the matching lunch bag. While it’s on the smaller side and may not fit a large container, it's perfect for snacks, juice boxes, and a small sandwich. The zippers are decent—though they’ve snagged once or twice when the bag was very full, it's not a deal-breaker.Overall, this was a win-win: it made my granddaughter happy with the color and style, and it gives me peace of mind knowing I can easily check the contents. If your school has clear bag policies or you just want a fun and functional backpack for a younger child, this is a great option that combines visibility with personality.

This large 16-inch backpack has a very cool and colorful clear see-through design. It will easily hold a 15.7-inch laptop or a tablet in its large main compartment and it has multiple pockets that provide more storage. It comes with a matching crossbody bag and a small toiletry case. It is well-made, lightweight, and the adjustable shoulder straps make it very comfortable to carry. This backpack is perfect for home, school or travel. I highly recommend it and I would definitely purchase it again. (5-STARS)

Seems sturdy and well made - nice quality, fits a camera and many other accessories like a water bottle, small jacket and a hat. Came well packaged and thinly sealed. Didn't realize it, but it also comes with a zippable pouch!

I got turned away at the gate of a minor league baseball game recently for having a purse that was "too big," and didn't meet their clear bag policy. So when I saw this come up for review I thought I would check it out. This three piece set seems flexible - if you're going to a festival or venue where you need to fill a backpack you have that capacity, but the crossbody bag could also be carried on its own. In a pinch you could even just use the small zipper bag, although I think that's meant primarily as an accessory. The material itself seems durable. The construction of the bag is a little slipshod, there were lots of trailing threads to trim and the fasteners aren't 100% square. But it seems like it would be relatively water resistant, and the backpack straps are padded for comfort. We'll see how it holds up with use.
