It forms a tough waterproof seal that won't crack or shrink, and is non-toxic to fish when fully cured after 7 to 14 days. Cure time depends on bead size and cure conditions. Used the black on a large aquarium, been up and running a few years with no signs of degradation. Just bought these 2 tubes in clear to do another large tank, I'm very confident it will do it's job and hold together for many years. I'm just glad it's easily available.

Just enough to lay a heavy bead for a 75 gallon tank. Used plastic wrap to spread the bead.It does smell when applied. Waiting 24 hours to cure and then 6 more days before testing with water.

This silicone is very easy to use and doesn't harm your fish. Just let it sit for atleast 24 hours to fully cure before filling the tanks. I use this on ALL of my aquariums.

Great adhesion and cleanup was simple. Sealed the acrylic tank it was used on well, no leaks with a thin bead over the already solvent welded joints.

I used this for my first aquarium build. I've used other silicons for other tasks, but noticed this one squeezes out at room temperature quite nicely, and it's very pleasant to smooth out with tools or a gloves finger.It set perfectly and the aquarium sealed up nicely. I'm glad I with this product.

I decommissioned the drain hole from my live well on my aluminum bass boat which is on my transom under the boat’s waterline. I started the job by roughing up the outside of drain hole with 120 sandpaper and then wiping area with a damp cloth. I next took a 2” x 3” piece of aluminum sheet metal drilled two corresponding holes through sheet metal and boat’s transom. I next liberally applied Clear Aquarium Silicone to sheet metal piece and placed over former drain hole. I next coated the ends of 2 rivets with silicone and placed them through my pre drilled sheet metal holes and through my pre drilled transom holes. I rivited the rivets with my rivet gun and some of the silicone oozed out from under my sheet metal piece. Finally with my finger I wiped the silicone around the circumference of sheet metal to create a sealing bead edge. The combination of silicone and the riveted sheet metal patch is sturdy and impervious to any incoming water. The sheet metal patch is going nowhere primarily because of the rivets but also the silicone won’t budge unless I apply hundreds of pounds of pressure with a snub nose pliers. Believe me it’s securely attached.
