This fuse holder is not compatible with any standard T Class fuse and the material of the box risks melt down. You cannot source a replacement fuse for this style fuse holder. It’s a bummer because this the only fully enclosed T Class fuse holder options.

The build is high quality. Was thinking just Class T Fuse; however, this works better for inverter protection, slower blowing, able to handle surges. The fuse has ample current interrupting capabilities.

The slots that hold the bolt head from spinning were machined too large for the bolts used and therefore the bolts spin when you attempt to tighten down the lugs. I have since filled those voids with epoxy. However, after doing some research, I have identified that this T fuse is unique and unreliable.

So frustrated with false advertising on these things. It says it’s a class t fuse, which technically it may be. But it uses a non-standard fuse. Typical class t fuse won’t fit. So if the one that comes with it blows, you are kind of out of luck.

I will preface my review that I didn't realize there were different sizes and types of T-fuse. I thought I was spending a wise $80 for the correct fuse, but this is a SLOW BLOW fuse, not fast-blow like you should use for a high-amperage system in an RV.I had this connected with a 1ft 4/0 cable to my 600ah 12v battery bank, then a properly-sized copper bus bar directly to a huge Blue Sea Systems red switch, then to a Victron Lynx distributor to a Victron Multiplus II and 3 MPPT solar controllers. We were doing some stress testing and decided to push the limits of the inverter system. We ran over 3000 watts, but not over the 5500 max watt rating of the inverter. I noticed the temp sensor on the nearest battery started to spike, so I ran outside and could smell melted plastic. The entire fuse holder was smoking so I killed all of the load and disconnects. The fuse and holder got so hot that it melted the phenolic base and started melting the box itself. What was crazy is that the fuse NEVER BLEW.The lugs were all torqued down and the wiring was sized properly, but it nearly burned down our RV. The holder itself completely came apart and the bolts came loose, but the fuse itself tests good continuity. So perhaps it was my mistake in purchase or install, but it was almost a reallllly bad situation. Please be safe, guys!Btw, I've since installed a new massive Blue Seas t-fuse holder and 400amp South Bend T-fuse and have run it hard all day today. It's barely touched 90F with an ambient temp of 95F in the compartment. Buy once, cry once, try not to die once!

I bought this to protect my 3000w victron inverter. Victron recommends (2) 1/0awg cables to supply power to the inverter. The holes in the ends are just small enough that it is extremely difficult to get both cables in, and the bolt height is almost too short to get 2 ring terminals to bolt down. I think if you was using just one cable this box would work great. I gave it 4 stars because during install, one of the 4 screws that is supplied broke the head off and the mounting holes are very deep. Too deep for a normal length bit in an impact driver. I had to use a longer bit, that not everyone might have laying around.

Quite large for my needs. It may suffice for others. Fuse description states slow blow although T fuse should be fast blow. Returned.
