This kit was perfect to make my daughters clarinet functional again! I watched a few recorking videos on youtube and had not trouble removing the old cork and replacing it!

Unfortunately this cork is way too fat, It takes forever to sand it down and by the time you do it cracks. I followed all the directions exactly as stated and had no luck with this product. I do have experience putting corks on both clarinets and saxophones and have not had problems with other products. After wasting a ton of my time I put all the pieces of cork in a bag and temporarily wrapped my clarinet with electrical tape till I can get it corked up with another product. Strangely the electrical tape seems to have worked better than the cork sold to me and is holding the seal perfectly. I did reach out to the seller but never heard back so at this point I'm leaving the review. I prefer contacting the seller before leaving reviews like this. Thanks for reading this and I hope it helps.

Clarinet shop wanted 60$ to fix a little broken cork on my sons clarinet. My teen son ordered this product and fixed it himself. You do have to be crafty and cut well. But this product saved us money and time!!!

I know very little about the clarinet but was able to replace a cork thanks to this kit. I would say it very important to ready the instructions all the way through before you start. The string in the kit I found out is for wrapping/tieing around the cork as the glue is hardening to keep it in place ( I think)

Kit comes with enough supplies to replace corks multiple times. I recommend watching a how-to video. Pleased with the results and hoping it holds up.

So my kid plays clarinet and the cork went bad. I watched a bunch of videos before I attempted this. In all the videos nobody soaks the cork in water. So I tried 2 times without soaking it and it ripped. 3rd try I soaked it and it worked just fine. I didn't use the glue it came with used name brand contact glue. I had to do a lot of sanding to get it to fit. I just went slow and kept checking the fitment. Over all it saved me a bit of money and wasn't that hard to do. They give you a lot of cork I only used not even one sheet. I would recommend this product.

Did the job, but I’d order a brand that had the right thickness out of the box if I did it again. Was a massive job to sand it down to make it fit. First attempt it just pushed the cork right out of place bc it was too thick. Had to have it for my daughter for band the next day, so I made it work. Too much hassle.

Works just as described if you know what you're doing. P.S. The sandpaper is used to sand the cork down to the right thickness so that the instrument can be easily assembled...
