The first wind indicator arrived with a misaligned hole for the cartridge, so it wouldn't screw in correctly, but Cirrus's customer support is incredible. You will be connected with someone immediately and they take incredible care to send you a replacement immediately. The new one works, and was even tested by the company before they sent it out. I would give 6/5 stars if I could, it's so rare to find a company that operates this way.

If you need a portable tool for visualizing airflow, this is it. Easy to see, simple to use, no smell (with the cloud cartridges),and w/ no VOC's. I use it to test for leaks in air distribution equipment and systems and to see if airflow is laminar or turbulent. If you're a mechanical engineer or any other professional in the HVAC industry who has to work on the airside equipment, you won't be disappointed. One heads up, it is smoke and will send any Particulate Matter (PM) sensor off the charts so I wouldn't use it to visualize airflow through expensive and/or sensitive electronic equipment or in places such as clean rooms w/o first doing [way] more testing.

I bought one of these in October. It's awesome. Even in the faintest winds it can detect direction. Also we hunt out of a lot of blinds. You can tell if windows are leaking air way easier than you could with powder.I liked it so much i ordered a backup because i couldn't stand the thought of having it go down and having to go back to powder. However, right out of the package (post charging) the second unit would turn on the flashlight but the vapor never worked. Better buy two if you want one to work.

I had purchased a different wind indicator and it fell apart within 6 months. I ordered this one and I'm not sorry that I did. This is a better product. The puffs are definitely better and easier to see. The jury is still out on the flashlight feature as I haven't used it yet. Not too sure about the power bank charging yet either. I'm sure it will get used. I do recommend this wind indicator. There is no residue left behind from the powder form. I use this for my k9 scent detection and use this indoors. Not having any possessions is a huge plus.

This is a very good well made device. I use it for checking wind while hunting. It has allowed me to leave a couple of other things at home that I normally would have to pack and carry. If I had one negative to say it would have to be that I wish the plugs on the bottom for the charger port and the usb connection need to be attached. I lost the small plug for the charging port in my bag the first time I carried it.

I bought this product to use mostly for hunting, as knowing wind direction as well as thermals is the most important factor in whitetail deer hunting, in my opinion. I charged it as soon as I opened it, and it took quite some time, at least a couple hours, to fully charge. It appears to hold its charge quite well, so hopefully that continues. The lights are nice, especially on the way to the stand in the dark to get a quick read on the wind and actually see the smoke, and the recent addition of the charging port is cool, and shows the company is forward-thinking. The smoke is easy to see when the button is held and is very sensitive to any air current, however, it doesn’t continue to release smoke forever just because you continue to hold it, and it dissipates quickly. It does everything the company claims and does it well, however, I feel like milkweed is still king for checking wind while hunting, as milkweed can be seen for a long time, and can indicate a shift in wind as it falls closer to the ground due to thermals or what not, which happens often and is very important to know while hunting from a stand. This product is no doubt light years ahead of any of the powders, and I will likely continue to carry it hunting in my bino pack for the charging bank feature alone if nothing else. Coincidentally, it also works great for my work, as I’m an HVAC mechanic, and could use this to check for proper flue draft, as well as supply and return air movement.

I purchased this product to identify air leaks around windows, outlets, and fixtures. It works extremely well. When there is no air flow in a room the smoke just lingers, ready for the slightest air movement to take it away. The flashlight feature produces plenty of light, exceeding my expectations. The smoke is dense enough to see and follow, even with moderate airflow. The unit is constructed well enough that I have no worries about throwing it in a tool bag. There are only two warnings I would give a potential buyer:1) The Cloud scent does have a very slight, sweet, burnt smell. It's only noticable when the smoke passes directly by your nose. I don't I think it's enough to bother the occupants of a room.2) The amount of smoke produced does fade with heavy, consistent use. Let the unit rest for a few minutes and you are back in business.
