Used on shore fishing at ocean. Saltwater didn't affect these hooks. Managed to catch multiple fish with these hooks too. Recommended circle hooks

These hooks are good, BUT... they are sharp, sturdy, and you get a nice assortment. But, the 7/0 size recommended for catfish is really the only size you need. This pack comes with hooks up to 6/0 size, which is adequate for cats. I did not use the others much. So far I have caught cats from 8 inches all the way up to (as big as they get around here in PA) 9 pounds, thirty inches on the 7/0 size I purchased from another vendor (XFISHMAN, see pics).NOTE- unlike some other brand of hooks I purchased (XFISHMAN), the eyes on these are NOT SMOOTH (as advertised) and could abrade the knots... the abrasion will not happen if you tie, for example, a Palomar or Improved Clinch knot, keeping the line away from the end of the eye. The knots must stay away from the end of the eye of the hook, where there is a burr from being cut-off at the factory, otherwise they will probably abrade.

Pretty grear value on circle hooks. You're not going to get Mustad quality at this price, but I've used them consistently with no issues and they're nice and sharp. I use them primarily for catfish rigs, though I've used the medium sized ones for big crappie and hybrid bass a few times as well with minnows.A couple of them came with weird bends/defects towards the bottom of the hook that looked like it would make it easy to snap, so just give them a once over before you rig them up. A few duds out of a lot of 100 is a great value though!
