Great to swap these for treble hooks on both topwater and sinking lures.

For the price, these are an excellent value. Not sure if they’re made for saltwater or not, but that’s what I’m using them for. I’ve been replacing all my treble hooks with single inline hooks and these work great for that purpose. I bought extra sizes since I like them. Will keep these favorited since I’ll probably be buying more. The quality issue other reviewers mentioned seem to be resolved. Ordered a couple packs and had no issue. All were sharp and the same size. I’ve had issues with Mustad and Owner hooks so one bad hook wouldn’t be abnormal. All 30 were good tho. These hooks in the pics are 1/0 hooks and are pretty much my go to size for most jerkbaits and topwater. I’ll put a smaller maybe #4 on a small popper or 2” jerkbait. But for the most part, 1/0 are my preference. The pics show the 1/0 Dr Fish next to a 1/0 Owner hook (black one). Size is pretty close but the Dr Fish is actually a bit longer. However, the gap between the hook point and shank is exactly the same. Reviewers saying they are way too big or small clearly bought the wrong size and don’t know how to read. The chart with hook sizes appear to be spot on as they match what I measured almost exactly. Just buy the right size based on the chart and not the size you hope it is.Weight of the hook is substantial. These won’t be bending out on any fish or a snag. They are noticeably stronger than the Owner hooks. These also have a rear turned eye which puts the pivot point slightly behind the hook shank rather than centered above it. Not a big deal, it still hangs straight. Also tested corrosion resistance since the last thing I want to do is replace all these hooks just to have them rust out after a day of fishing, ruining a ton of lures. Description clearly says carbon steel, not stainless. I mixed up some salt water and dropped both the Dr Fish and Owner hook in overnight. By the morning, some surface rust was showing in the Owner and surprisingly not the far less expensive Dr Fish. There was some very minor discoloration behind the eye but nothing to worry about. I also took a file to the side of the eye to see if there was some sort of coating preventing rust and that didn’t make a difference. Still shiny underneath and no corrosion. After salt water, I soaked in vinegar to remove surface rust on the Owner mainly. The filed part of the Dr Fish hook did turn blackish so something is reacting. Obviously there is some kind of coating but it doesn’t seem to make a big difference. It seems to be fairly rust resistant regardless. These are sharp, strong hooks. I’ll be getting more.

I ordered a Size 8 to replace my rooster tail treble hooks. I have Owner size 6 inline replacement hooks but wanted something smaller. These size 8 hooks (and I'm ASSUMING they actually sent size 8, it's not on the packaging) are actually a little larger than the Owner size 6. :/

The 5/0 hook is closer to a size smaller than most of the mainstream hook makers ie VMC, Mustad...etc. Other than the sizing difference the hook seems to have wire thickness of a 2X and appears to be strong with a hand pull on the hook, the barb is very well defined where I think its too big is youufk. The barb cen I've yet to use hooks or catch a large fish with them to test its bend-out strength. The good thing for the price you are getting alot of hooks.

Sizing is true to size, unlike some other manufacturers.
