The "tab" that the lock connects to is so weak I accidentally broke it with my fingers.Just another failed Amazon purchace!!!!! I'm getting to the point of knowing that Amazon is THE worst place to shop for any kind of quality.I want my money back!!!!!

I wanted a locking cap like one for an automobile, but there apparantly are none. This is sturdy, however, and will work just fine.

I guess you get what you pay for. It does the job which is what matters but it is a bit flimsy. It’s more of a deterrent than an actual locking cover. A crow bar can pop it open. But again. I’m relatively happy with it. But tbh spend the extra money at TSC or a CO-OP

I have installed this locking fuel cap assembly on the aux diesel tank in the bed of my truck to help prevent theft or contamination of my fuel in this tank. It is a perfect fit into the 2” female pipe threads on my tank and is easy to use. The quality of construction and materials is worth the cost.

Installed with no problem, but the locking mechanism is a bit weak and it can be easily broken in to, but for now it will stay on my tank until I can find a beefier locking cap. It does fit and seal well without leaking and provides venting for the tank.

Someone complained that it could be opened with just a wrench so they downrated it. Let's face it. All I need to steal any fuel from a fuel tank is a pipe wrench. I can remove any fitting or cap with a pipe wrench, but this cap keeps the honest people honest, and it looks great.
