CimFAX T5 fax server supports 2 lines and includes licensing for up to 200 users. It's a good alternative to companies that want to handle fax processing in-house, rather than pay to use the API of a third party provider that can quickly become expensive. You can send/receive documents from emails and other applications, whether the app is on a PC, Mac or a mobile phone. (For use on the mobile, you need to install the FaxGo app from Apple or Google.)Having two lines ensure that your faxes don't queue up for long and are processed quickly. You can also be using one line to send and another to receive at the same time. In order to set up the device on your network, you first need to connect it to your switch or router and then run the configuration program (comes on an installation CD) from a workstation. It's very similar to setting up a network printer, and should not take a long time.In order to enable users on the network to gain access to the machine, the administrator needs to create CimFax accounts and assign permissions. For example, some users can be allowed to only send or only receive faxes, whereas others can use the device fully. You also have the option of creating local vs. cloud accounts for these users, which I found unnecessary and a bit confusing.Overall, this is a very capable device, and a must for businesses that have to utilize faxed documents like real estate agencies. Functionality is great, though a bit more user-friendliness on the software side would be appreciated. 4 stars.

While CimFax is a good idea, BUYER BEWARE that the Windows/PC CimFax application is nearly unusable. My story: I tried to set this up at my office. However, upon downloading the PC CimFax application, I realized that there are some significant limitations...- No 'Fax Cover Sheet' functionality- Due to the above, I created a standalone fax cover sheet PDF to manually attach to each transmission. NOPE, the program only allows you to upload a SINGLE PDF file. It does have an option to upload a second file but limits additional files to .TIF, .JPG, .GIF file types. Again, it doesn't allow you to add a second PDF which is inexplicable.- 'Contacts' are not shared between users. This is just disappointing. Every user either has to create their own contact list or the office has to maintain a community .csv/.txt file and constantly upload the newest version of this file onto each PC that uses CimFax.- Local inbox/outbox and shared inbox/outbox are very confusing. Faxes come into the shared inbox but any sent fax goes into the local outbox. Why make it so confusing? I asked them and their answer was: sometimes people will send to a fax number and then put in a specific extension....really? Has anyone ever sent a fax and put in a specific ext number? I'd imagine that's exceedingly rare.Anyways, buyer beware that the CimFax PC application has an ancient UI which looks straight out of 1992 + missing the ability to add cover sheets, add multiple PDF files, or share Contact Lists.CimFax - PLEASE update your PC application and fix these incredibly basic but critical issues.

Really impressed with the server. In production since over 3 months no complaints, its a work-horse.User friendly setup. I had to take support from CIMFAX support for advanced configuration needs and they were very helpful. Wish they increase the number of ports to allow 4 fax lines.

This device is very old technology and requires a Windows machine to run the server portion. I imagine they would have the server built-in, but it does not. Because of this I returned it I built a server with Faxmaker and two 28.8 fax modems for $300 total. This device is a rip off in comparison

Cimfax is awesome. Period!!! We were using windows fax for awhile, which worked but was glitchy. This simply worked right out of the box. Full of features.... My employees all print to fax. With port forwarding, different offices can also use the same fax. This also comes with Cimfax app on the iphone, which is a great option to have if you wanted to use the mobile fax, without having pay for anything. Customer support called me from China!!! Very nice Mandy. Nothing else on the market can compare. Prices is about 1/3 of everything else we looked at.

Product works as advertised. Support was helpful enough to troubleshoot our issues. We did have issues with DTMF tones being sent through our phone system. it ended up that it was too loud for the cimfax and was not being heard correctly, we just had to purchase an attenuator to lower the db level.

A better reporting would've been great. some of the software features should've been allowed to regular users instead of admin account i.e. sent faxes history. also the manual needs to give more details of how the system is operating at the back end, such as, sent faxes default storage location is unknown! a complete fax cycle from a users perspective, ....

We bought this to get rid of our old Fax machines and reduce paper use. It worked perfectly from the start with no major issues. But what was so great was the support we received. We needed to adjust some feature that was not available, and the support team worked on getting as a customized solution within 48 hours, to solve it. They sent us a special update that we installed and it solved the issue.I wish other products had such great support.
