Practically speaking, one of the most important parts of this kind of assembly is always the security and operation of the hot shoe mount section. This assembly fails in that most important aspect. The hot shoe mount screws are difficult, if not impossible, to manipulate and usually results in the completed bar mount assembly being unacceptably loose and unstable in the field. I had to use heavy duty pliers just to get the assembly secure enough to mount my LED light, microphone, and LCD monitor on my GH5. The combined weight of all the mounted attachments was less than two pounds and should have easily been rendered stable by the mounting hardware. I could never go on another shoot with such a flimsy mounting assembly. It's not only uncomfortable and embarrassing, but quite dangerous and may result in dropping the entire assembly and disabling or ruining some very expensive accessory equipment.
